범죄경력자용 사회적응 예측지표 개발 및 타당화 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국법무보호복지공단으로부터 보호지원을 받는 범죄경력자의 사회적응력을 증진하여 재범방지를 이룰 수 있도록 범죄경력자의 사회적응 개념을 살펴보고, 이를 측정하기 위한 「범죄경력자용 사회적응 예측지표(K-SIPI)」의 개발 및 타당화하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 개발된 사회적응 예측지표는 총 4개의 하위척도로 구성하였고, 구체적으로 ① 일반특성척도(범죄경력자 연령, 범죄경력자 학력, 배우자유무, 가족유무, 가족만남 빈도, 직업유형, 주거환경), ② 범죄특성척도(벌금형이상 범죄횟수, 최초경찰 입건연령, 형기, 가족구성원의 범죄유무, 아는 사람의 범죄유무), ③ 인식행동척도(미래를 위한 시간 및 비용투자, 일이나 여가활동으로 인한바쁜 생활 여부, 준법의식, 책임의 부정, 손상(가해)의 부정, 피해자의 부정, 비난자에 대한 비난, 상위가치에 대한 호소), ④ 재사회화척도(분노대응, 회복탄력성, 자존감, 가족관계, 사회적 지지, 직업적 자기효능감, 낙인인식, 음주습관)이다. 개발된 예측지표의 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 연구대상자의 범죄경력을 바탕으로초범집단과 재범집단으로 구분하여 예측타당도를 살펴보았다. 아울러 보호서비스를제공 받았지만 재범으로 인해 다시 숙식지원을 받는 숙식재보호 대상자와 보호서비스를 제공받으며 7년 이상 사회에 원만하게 적응하고 있는 집단을 구분하여 사회적응 수준을 확인하였다. 그 결과 사회적응 예측지표를 통해 이들의 구분이 유의미한것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 마지막 장에는 사회적응 예측지표를 활용하여 범죄경력자의 처우에 개입할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였고, 이를 통한 법무보호의 발전을 위한향후 연구 방향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of social re-integration of criminals in order to prevent the recidivism by promoting the social re-integration of criminals supported by the Korean Rehabilitation Agency. Korean Social re-Integration Predictive Indicator(K-SIPI) is consisted and validated. The developed K-SIPI is composed of four sub-scales. Specifically, ① general characteristics scales (criminal age, criminal history, spouse status, family status, family encounter frequency, occupation type, housing environment), ② crime Characteristic scales (number of criminals with fine penalties, age of first charged, sentence period, criminal status of family members, and criminal status of acquaintances), ③ Recognition behavior scale (investment of time and expense for the future, busy life due to work or leisure activities, law abiding, denial of responsibility, denial of injury, denial of the victim, condemnation of the condemners, appeal to higher loyalties), ④ re-socialization scale (response to anger, resilience, self-esteem, family relations, social support, professional self-efficacy, stigma, and drinking habits). In order to prove the validity of the developed predictive indicators, the predictive validity was examined by dividing the subject into either one group of committing an offense or the other group of committing recidivism based on the criminal history of the subjects. As a result, this classification was significant through the social re-integration predictive indicator. In the last part of this study, we suggested ways to intervene in the treatment of criminal history by using K-SIPI and suggested future research directions for the development of rehabilitation.
