아동기의 학대 경험이 청소년기의 자살행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 아동기의 피학대 경험이 청소년기의 자살 행동에 미치는 영향에서 부정 정서의 매개효과와 자아존중감의 조절효과를 발달단계에 맞추어 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학생 시기를 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 기존 연구가 초등학생과 중학생, 고등학생의 발달을 개별적으로 검증한 것과는 달리, 본 연구는 초등학생과 중학생, 고등학생의 발달단계별 비교를 통해, 청소년기 자살행동을 예방하기 위한 개입 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 연구되었다. 본 연구의 자료는 한국복지패널 10차(2015), 13차(2018), 16차(2021) 아동부가조사 자료로, 10차 때 초등학생, 13차 때 중학생, 16차 때 고등학생으로서 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 총 1,138명(초등학생 10차: 438명, 중학생 13차: 383명, 고등학생 16차: 317명)을 분석에 활용하였다. 연구모형 분석은 PROCESS macro를 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 보면, 첫째, 발달단계에 따른 아동기 학대 경험과 청소년기 자살행동의 관계에서 부정 정서의 매개효과를 확인한 결과, 초등학생, 중학생, 고등학생 시기 모두 매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 발달단계에 따른 아동기 학대 경험, 부정 정서, 청소년기 자살행동의 관계에서 초등학생과 고등학생 시기에서 자아존중감의 매개된 조절효과가 확인되었지만, 중학생 시기에서는 자아존중감 조절효과가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 선행연구에 근거하여 논의하였고, 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년기 자살행동 감소를 위한 효율적인 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study compared and analyzed the mediating effect of negative emotions and the moderating effect of self-esteem in the period of elementary, middle, and high school students in accordance with the developmental stage in the effect of abuse experience in childhood on suicidal behavior in adolescence. The data of this study are the data of the 10th (2015), 13th (2018), and 16th (2021) child supplementary surveys of the Korea Welfare Panel. A total of 1,138 subjects (10th grade elementary school students: 438 people, 13th grade middle school students: 383 people, 16th grade high school students: 317 people) were used for analysis. Research model analysis was analyzed using PROCESS macro. As a result of the analysis, first, as a result of confirming the mediating effect of negative emotion in the relationship between childhood abuse experience and adolescent suicidal behavior according to developmental stage, it was confirmed that there is a mediating effect in all of the elementary, middle, and high school students. Second, in the relationship between childhood abuse experiences, negative emotions, and suicidal behavior in adolescence according to developmental stage, the mediated moderating effect of self-esteem was confirmed in elementary and high school students, but no self-esteem moderating effect was found in middle school students. The above study results were discussed based on previous studies, and based on these results, an effective intervention plan for reducing suicidal behavior in adolescence was suggested.
