국문 초록

본고는 한국어교육 중에서 음운론 교육과 관련된 몇 가지 문제에 대해서 논의했다. 2장은 음운론교육과 관련된 표준어와 문자표기에 대한 문제로 표준어의 변화와 문자와 음소의 불일치에 대해 주의할 점에 대한 것이었다. 표준어의 어휘는 기저형과 관련된 것으로 지금까지 국어음운론에서 크게 관심을 갖지 못했던 복수기저형에 대한 것을 논의했다. 문자에 대한 것은 문자표기와 음소의 불일치가 모음에서 많이 일어나기 때문에 음소의 변화에 교사나 학생 모두가 관심을 가져야 한다. 3장은 음운규칙에 대한 기존의 분류에 대해서 논의하고 그 문제점을 지적했다. 음운규칙을 표준화해서 가르치는 것에 대해서 학교문법과 기술문법이 분리될 수 없지만 아직 우리는 표준화된 음운규칙을 가지고 있지 못하다. 이론의 변화가 심하기 때문에 이를 정리하는 것이 쉽지 않고 용어의 통일도 문제가 된다. 본고에서는 기존의 논의 중에서 불합리한 것을 지적하고 음운규칙을 두 가지 종류로 나누어서 논의했다. 그것은 음운단어형성부와 음절음운부를 구분한 것으로 전자는 통사부의 출력에서 재조정되는 성격을 가지고 있고, 후자는 음절화의 과정에서 결정되는 것이다. 이러한 논의가 비록 미흡하지만 국어음운론의 표준화에 기여하리라고 생각한다.

영문 초록

This monograph introduces problems regarding phonological education of Korean language for foreigners. Chapter two mentions issues of the standard Korean and its orthography. It is about change of standard Korean and disagreement of character and phoneme. The main focus of this chapter is regarding the muti-underlying form of standard Korean vocabulary which has not been drawn much attentions within the academic communities of Korean phonology. Teachers and students both should pay attention on the change of phoneme on vowels because the disagreement of character expression and phoneme takes place mostly on vowels. Chapter three discusses the current classifications on phonological rules in Korean and their problems. It is almost impossible to completely separate the descriptive grammar and grammar taught in school. However, no standardized phonological rules exist in Korean as of now. Due to the rapid changes on phonological theories it is difficult to organize them. The agreement on terms also becomes difficult for above reason. This monograph points out the unreasonable part of previous research papers. Phonological rules are discusses in two separate parts within this monograph. First part discusses the phonological word formation components which readjusts the syntactic output. Second part discusses the syllabication component. There exist some limitations on above discussions but I believe it would be beneficial to the standardization of Korean phonology.
