고당 조만식의 정치사상에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 고당 조만식의 정치사상에 관한 것이다. 고당은 한국근현대사가 낳은 대표적인 선각자이자 독립운동가이자 사상가이다. 그의 정치사상을 구체적으로 알아보기 위해 그의 세계관을 알아보았다. 그의 세계관은 크게 세 가지로 나누어 분류하였다. 첫째, 희생정신의 세계관 둘째, 책임정신의 세계관 셋째, 개혁정신의 세계관이다. 이를 기초하여 고당의 정치사상을 역시 세 가지로 분류하였다. 첫째, 고당의 정치사상은 민족교육론으로 규정지을 수 있다. 민족교육론은 민족과 교육 간의 연계성을 기초한다. 그리고 그의 민족교육론은 교육현장에서 실천궁행의 지행합일로 나타났다. 둘째, 고당의 정치사상은 민족단결론으로 연결된다. 민족단결론은 민족의 단결만이 민족의 애국적 길임을 표방하는 주장이다. 이러한 민족단결론을 구현하기 위한 일환으로 고당은 ‘고향을 묻지 맙시다’는 주장으로 실천되었다. 마지막으로 그의 정치사상은 민족자주독립론으로 규정할 수 있다. 민족자주론은 민족주체론을 전제한다. 민족주체의 결과가 민족자주고 민족자주의 전제가 민족주체이다. 이런 점에서 그는 민족주체의 역량 구축을 위해 조선물산장려운동을 벌였고 교육현장에서 민족에 대한 애족심을 가진 인재 양성에 모든 노력을 아끼지 않았다.

영문 초록

This paper is about the political thought of Godang Cho Man-sik. The Godang is a leading visionary, independence activist, and thinker born in modern and contemporary Korean history. I searched his worldview to find out more about his political ideas. His worldview was divided into three main categories. First, the world view of the spirit of sacrifice, second view of the spirit of responsibility, third view of the spirit of reform. Based on this, the political ideology of the Godang was also divided into three categories. First, the political ideology of the can be defined as the theory of national education. The theory of Godang national education is based on the link between people and education.And his theory of national education appeared as the unification of practice in the field of education. Second, the Godang’s political ideology is linked to the theory of national unity. The theory of national unity is an assertion that only unity of the nation is the patriotic path of the nation. As a part of realizing this theory of national unity, the Godang was practiced with the assertion that'Let's not ask about our hometown'. Finally, his political thoughts can be defined as the theory of national independence.The theory of national independence presupposes the theory of national subjectivity. The result of the national subject is national independence, and the premise of national independence is the national subject. In this respect, he launched a movement to promote the production of Joseon in order to build the competence of the national subject, and made every effort to cultivate talented people with love for the nation in the educational field.
