학습자 오개념 분석을 통한 교육 내용 개선 방향

국문 초록

이 연구는 ‘문장의 종류’에 대한 학습이 이루어지는 초등학교 4학년 학습자를 대상으로 관련 개념에 대한 오개념을 분석하고 해석하여 교육 내용의 개선 방향을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문법 교육을 통해 학생들은 주요한 문법 개념들을 학습한다. 그러나 학습을 마쳤음에도 공통적으로 특정한 오개념을 내재하고 있다면 이것은 학습 효과 측면에서뿐만 아니라 후속 학습이 연계되는 지점에서도 적지 않은 문제를 야기한다. 따라서 오개념 형성 요인을 통제하고 점검하기 위해서는 교육하고자 하는 핵심 개념에 관한 학습자의 오개념을 체계적으로 파악하고 구축하는 과정이 선결되어야 하며, 그 원인을 면밀하게 따져 볼 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본고는 국어과 오개념 연구의 일환으로 문장의 종류에 대한 학습을 끝낸 4학년 학습자를 대상으로 하여 오개념 양상을 밝히고, 그 이유를 학습자 외적 요인인 교과서에 주목하여 분석한다. 나아가 학습자의 오개념을 최소화하고 학습 내용에 대한 올바른 이해를 돕기 위해 개선된 교육 내용을 구안한 후 학교 현장에 투입하여 그 효과를 검증한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of educational content improvement for learners in elementary school 4th grade when ‘sentence types’ are taught for the first time, through analysis of misunderstanding of the relevant concepts. Through grammar education, students learn key concepts of grammar. But, if they still have misconceptions after finishing learning, this causes considerable problems not only in terms of the effect of learning but at such time linked to subsequent or advanced learning. So, for control and review of factors creating misconception, there first has to be the process of identifying and constructing learners’ misconception on the core concepts, and the cause thereof needs to be closely examined. Thus, this article, as part of the study on misconception, investigates the state of misconception for 4th grade learners having finished learning sentence types, and analyzes the cause thereof, with focus on textbook. Then, this article designs the educational content to minimize learners’ misconception on sentence types and help their correct understanding, and verifies the effect thereof by applying the educational content in actual classrooms.
