국문 초록

본고는 현대 차문화의 중흥지인 부산지역에서 활발히 그 맥을 잇고 있는 주천 선생의차문화 활동과 차정신을 담은 주심다법을 통해 행다의 의미를 살펴보았다. 和敬淸寂에 진실한 품성을 강조한 차정신은 행다를 통해서도 스스로 체득하고 성찰할 수 있도록 다법을 구상하여 자기 깊은 마음속의 잠재해있는 자신의 참마음을 찾아가도록 하고자 했다. 또한 행다를 통해 차를 진지하게 대하면서 잡다한 번뇌와 망상도 사라지고 자기 깊은 마음속의 잠재해있는 자신의 참마음을 찾아가는 것이다. 모든 정신을 집중시켜 잡념을 없애고, 다른 망상에 이끌리지 않는 마음의 수양, 그것이 바로 차생활의 禪으로 보는 것이다. 즉 주천선생의 ‘주심다법’의 원리는 다도정신을 넘어 보편적 진실한 인간의 본체를 찾는 淸淨한 마음과 통하는 것이다. 또한 지역의 대학 및 고등학교, 기업과 단체 등의 다도 교육은 물론 차문화 발전을 위한 각종 차문화활동, 자선활동 및 해외교류에도 활발하게 참여함으로써 주천 선생은 현대 차문화에 중요한 인물로 각인되고 있다. 또한 전통문화 부문에서도 다소 소홀히 되었던 조각보 영역의 계승, 발전을 위한 국가적 관심을 활성화시키는 선구자적 역할을 하고 있다. 이처럼 주천 선생은 차문화교육, 예절교육, 우리나라 조각보 전승자1호로서 차문화활동 뿐만 아니라 전통조각보 계승과 발전에도 앞장서고 있다. 이상으로 우리 차문화의 가치를 재인식 시키고, 전통문화와 한국차문화의 우수성을 널리 알려 대중적으로, 세계적으로 확산되길 바라는 마음으로 지금까지 많은 역할을 해오고 있는 주천선생의 발자취를 살펴보며 후학들에게 나아가야 할 역할을 다시 한번 생각해 보게 한다.

영문 초록

This paper researched the meaning of Haengda through Jucheon's tea culture activities and the tea spirit of her, who is actively continuing the tea tradition in Busan, the center of modern tea culture. Jucheon’s spirit of tea, which emphasized the sincerity of character in harmony, tried to find the true mind hidden deep in one's heart through doing Haengda so that one could learn and reflect on one's own accord. In addition, while drinking tea through Haengda, the miscellaneous delusions disappear and people find their true heart hidden deep in mind. The cultivation of the mind that concentrates all minds to eliminate miscellaneous thoughts, and is not led by other delusions, which is what we consider as ‘禪’(Zen) of our tea life. In other words, Jucheon's principle of the ‘Joosim Dabeop’ goes beyond the tea ceremony spirit and communicates with the compassionate mind that seeks the universal true entity. In addition, by actively participating in tea ceremony education at local universities and high schools, companies and organizations, as well as various tea culture events for the development of tea culture, Jucheon has came into the limelight as an important person in modern tea culture. She is taking the lead not only in tea culture activities but also in activating the national interest for the succession and development of Jogakbo as first traditional Jogakbo making successor in Korea, which has been somewhat neglected even in the traditional culture sector. As mentioned above, by examining the footsteps of Jucheon, who has been instrumental in transmitting Korean tradition so far, in the hopes of re-recognizing the value of our tea culture and spreading the excellence of traditional and Korean tea culture to the domestic and worldwide, it makes us think again about the role we have to go forward to transmit and develop of our traditional culture.
