국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 인간 의식을 통해 신약성경 텍스트를 분석하는방법을 소개하는 것이다. 신약성경 텍스트의 우선적 목표는 의사소통이다. 인간은 텍스트를 사용하여 사고하고 텍스트를 사용하여 소통한다. 의사소통은 텍스트 생산자가 가진 개념들을 그 수용자가 이해하는 것을 전제로 한다. 또한 텍스트 수용자는 그 텍스트들을 이해하기 위해 텍스트 생산자에게 적극적으로 협력한다. 그 텍스트의 참여자들은 서로의 마음속 인지과정을 예상하고 활용한다. 텍스트 생산자는 그가 가진 개념들을 텍스트화하고, 텍스트 수용자는 그 텍스트들을 다시 개념화한다. 의식은 언어 외적 구조인 언어 표상과 마음속 인지구조 사이를 탐색할 수 있는 능력이 있다. 그래서 의식의 흐름을 따라 텍스트를 분석하는 것은 그 텍스트 이해에 도움을 줄 수있다. 의식은 텍스트를 통해 전달되는 순차적 정보를 따라 흘러가며 초점이 계속해서 움직이는 특징이 있다. 인간의 의사소통 전략은 이러한 의식의 특징을 적절하게 사용하여 상대방이 이해 가능하도록 텍스트를 문법화시킨다. 그 양상은 절 단위에서부터 담화 단위까지 다양하게 나타난다. 필자는 체이프의 의식 이론과 다른 인지언어학 이론들은 의사소통을 위한 텍스트들의 해석에 분명히 도움을 줄 것이라 예상한다. 이것은 신약성경 텍스트의 해석에도 마찬가지로 적용될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a method of analyzing New Testament texts through the human consciousness. The primary purpose of New Testament texts is communication. Humans use text to think and text to communicate. The communication presupposes that the text receiver understands the concepts of the text producer. The text recipient also actively cooperates with the text producer to understand the texts. The text participants anticipate and utilize each other's cognitive processes. The text producer textualizes his concepts and the text receiver reconceptualizes the texts in their minds. The consciousness is the ability to navigate between external linguistic representations and internal cognitive structures. Therefore, analyzing texts along the stream of consciousness helps in understanding the texts. The consciousness flows along the sequential information transmitted through the text and its focus is constantly moving. Human communication strategies make appropriate use of these features of the consciousness to grammaticalize the texts for participants to understand. Its aspects vary from clauses to discourse units. I hope that Wallace Chafe's theories of consciousness and other cognitive linguistic theories will certainly help in the interpretation of texts for communication. This would also apply to the interpretation of New Testament texts.
