국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국에서 활동 중인 코치들의 만족 수준과 향후 코칭 전망에 관한 의견을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국에서 활동 중인 한국코치협회 소속 631명의 코치를 대상으로 2022년 8월 22일부터 8월 31일까지 21개의 문항으로 설문 조사를 진행 응답 결과를 분석했다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 한국 코치들은 자신의 코칭 활동에 대해 대체로 만족하고 있었다. 만족하는가장 큰 이유는 코치로서 보람을 느낀다는 것이었고 코칭 수입이 적다는 점을 가장 불만족스럽게 생각했다. 둘째 한국 코치들은 월평균 100만 원 미만의 수입을 올리는 자들이 가장 많았고 향후자신의 코칭 수입이 증가할 것으로 예상했다. 셋째 한국 코치들은 현재의 코칭 수입에 대해 만족하지 않았지만 코칭이 자신과 타인의 변화와 성장에 도움을 주기 때문에 타인에게 권유할 것이라고 응답했다. 넷째 한국 코치들은 향후 코칭 시장에 대해 낙관적으로 전망했고 가장 전망 있는 코칭장르는 라이프 코칭과 비즈니스 코칭이라고 응답했다. 마지막으로 한국 코치들은 코칭 산업의 활성화를 위해 일자리 창출이 가장 중요하다고 생각했다. 본 연구의 의의는 가장 많은 한국 코치들을 대상으로 그들의 만족 수준과 코칭 산업에 전망에 관한 의견을 분석했고 한국 코칭 산업의 활성화를 위해 코치들의 기대와 요구사항을 확인했다는 것이다. 연구 결과가 보여주는 시사점을 바탕으로 한국 코칭 산업의 지속적인 활성화와 선 순환적 생태계 조성에 필요한 과제를 제시했다. 그리고 본 연구의 한계와 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 제시했다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze their level of satisfaction and their opinions on the prospects of the coaching industry in Korea. To this end, a survey was conducted with 21 questions from August 22 to August 31, 2022 targeting 631 coaches belonging to the Korean Coach Association active in Korea, and the responses were analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, Korean coaches were generally satisfied with their coaching activities. The biggest reason for satisfaction was that they felt rewarded as a coach, and the most dissatisfied was that their coaching income was low. Second, Korean coaches had the highest income of less than 1 million won per month on average, and expected their coaching income to increase in the future. Third, Korean coaches responded that although they were not satisfied with their current coaching income, they would recommend it to others because coaching helps them and other’s change and grow. Fourth, Korean coaches optimistically predicted the future coaching market, and responded that life coaching and business coaching were the most prospective coaching genres. Lastly, Korean coaches considered job creation to be the most important factor in revitalizing the coaching industry in Korea. The significance of this study is to analyze their satisfaction levels and opinions on the prospects of the coaching industry for the largest number of Korean coaches, and to confirm the expectations and requirements of coaches for the revitalization of the coaching industry in Korea. Based on the implications of the research results, we presented the tasks necessary for the continuous vitalization of the coaching industry and the creation of a virtuous cycle ecosystem in Korea.
