블록체인 기반 암호화폐 도입이 카지노 이용의도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

중국은 전체 비트코인 채굴량의 50% 이상을 차지하며 우리나라 관광객과 카지노 입장객 1위에 달한다. 또한 최근 암호화폐는 카지노의 주요 논제 중 하나인 결제수단의 일원화, 안전이 보장되면서 편리하고 빠른 환전 거래 등이 가능하여 해외 카지노에서는 이미 도입을 시도하고 있다. 이에 따라, 이 연구는 향후 암호화폐의 영향력이 기대되는 관광산업의 한 분야인 카지노에서 암호화폐 도입 시 나타나게 될 이용자들의 의사결정과정을 보다 심층적으로 이해하고자 진행되었다. 구체적으로 이용자들이 암호화폐가 도입된 카지노 이용에 대한 결정을 내리기까지의 과정을 TAM과 TPB의 결합모델을 기반으로 규명하고자 하였다. 설문조사는 카지노 이용경험이 있는 중국인을 대상으로 진행되었으며, 최종적으로 수집된 315개의 설문자료에 대한 구조방정식 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, TAM과 TPB의 결합모델을 구성하는 변수 중 암호화폐가 도입된 카지노에 대한 개인의 태도에 인지된 용이성과 유용성이 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 결국 카지노 이용의도에까지 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 인지된 행동통제 또한 카지노 이용의도에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나 주관적 규범은 카지노 이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이로 보아, 암호화폐 카지노의 성공적 도입을 위해선 누구나 쉽고 빠르게 이용할 수 있는 환경이 조성되어야 하며, 이용자들의 주체성을 고려한 인프라 구축이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

China occupies over 50% of total bitcoin mining output and ranks no. 1 in the number of tourists to Korea and casino visitors. When it comes to the recent Crypto-currency, casinos overseas already attempted to introduce crypto-currency due to the convenience associated with payment, safety, and quicker money exchange. Accordingly this study was conducted to understand more deeply the decision making process among users when Crypto-currency is introduced into casino. Casino is considered one of the fields in the tourism industry where Crypto-currency’s influence is expected in the future. Specifically using the TAM and TPB combined model. we aimed to identify the process of users’ decision making to use the casino that introduced the Crypto-currency. A total of 315 surveys from Chinese who had experience of visiting casino were used in this study. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. As a result of analysis, it appeared that among the variables that constituted the TAM and TPB combined model, individual’s perceived easiness and usefulness toward the casino that introduced the Crypto-currency had a significant impact, which eventually had an impact on the intention to use casino. It also appeared that perceived behavior control had a significant impact on the intention to use casino, but subjective norm did not have a significant impact on the intention to use casino. To successfully introduce Crypto-currency into casinos, there is a need to create an environment for anyone to easily and quickly use the casino. Furthermore establishing the infrastructure considering the subjectivity of users is also needed.
