국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 주관적 건강상태가인지기능에 미치는 영향력을 규명하고 이들 관계에 대한 우울의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 고령화복지패널 7차년도 조사의 6,940명을 분석하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS 25.0과 Hayers(2017)의 SPSS PROCESS Macro의 Model 4를 활용하여 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 주관적 건강상태는 인지기능에 정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인의 주관적 건강상태는 우울에 부적으로 영향을 미는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 우울은 인지기능에 부적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 노인의 주관적 건강상태와 인지기능의 관계에 우울이 부분적으로 매개하는 것이 규명되었다. 따라서 노인의 주관적 건강상태가 높아질수록, 우울은 감소하며, 인지기능은 향상되는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 노인의 인지기능 향상 및 유지를 위해 신체 기능 향상을 위한 실천적 접근 방법을 제시하였으며, 특히 건강상태가 좋지 않더라도 우울과 같은 정서적 관리를 통해 인지기능을 유지 향상시킬 수 있는 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study identified the relationship between the subjective health status and cognitive function of the elderly and studied the mediating effect of depression. To this end, survey data for the 7th year of the aging panel were used, and only a total of 6,940 people nationwide were used as raw data for the aging welfare panel. This study analyzed general characteristics, conducted correlation analysis between major variables, and used Model 4 of SPSS 25.0 and Hayers' SPSS PROCESS Macro to analyze the mediating effect of the elderly's subjective health status, cognitive function, and depression. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the subjective health status of the elderly negatively affected depression. Second, in the effect of the elderly's subjective health status on cognitive function, the higher the subjective health status, and third, the elderly's subjective health status and depression. It was found that the higher the subjective health status and the lower the depression, the better the cognitive function. Based on the results of this study, practical implications were presented to maintain and improve physical function and to have satisfaction with daily life through active intervention to promote the health of the elderly.
