국문 초록

의료관광을 목적으로 서울을 방문한 외국인은 2019년 32만 284명을 기록했으며, 특히2015년부터 2019년까지 5년간 증가한 폭이 연평균 18%에 이를 정도로 의료관광은 큰 상승폭을 보였다. 그러나 성형 의료관광 증가 이면에는 불법 브로커 문제, 의료사고 문제 등으로한·중 간 국가적 이슈로 등장하기도 했다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고 고양시의 의료관광산업발전을 위한 Beauty-Zone 조성 방안을 확인함으로써 고양시 의료관광산업 발전 방안을 모색하는데 연구의 목적을 두고 연구를 실시했다. 연구결과로는 최근 ‘K-pop’, ‘K-beauty’, ‘K-drama’의 파급 효과로 성형이나 미용관련서비스를 받고자 하는 뷰티산업과 관련된 중국 및 동남 아시아권 지역을 중심으로, 의료관광을 유치하는 ‘Beauty-zone’을 고양시에 조성하는 것이 꼭 필요하다는 점이다. 특히 연구결과로 고양시에 보다 많은 의료관광객을 유치하고 의료관광산업의 발전을 위해서 ‘Beauty-Zone’을 조성하는 방안이 제시되었으며, 이를 위해서, 첫째, ‘Beauty-Zone’ 관련 관광특구 조성, 둘째, 피부미용 및 성형외과 밀집지역 조성, 셋째, 고양 메디투어센터(Medi-Tour Center) 등을 조성해야 하다는 점이 확인되었다. 즉, 고양시 의료관광객 유치를위해 관광특구 내 피부미용은 물론 성형외과 중심의 의료관광객을 위한 ‘Beauty-Zone’을 조성함으로써, 고양시 지역경제발전에 크게 기여할 수 있다는 점이 중요한 연구의 결과이다.

영문 초록

According to the '2019 Foreign Patient Attraction Statistical Analysis Report' released by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, the number of foreigners who visited in Seoul for medical tourism in 2019 was 32,284, it increased over the five years from 2015 to 2019. Medical tourism showed a significant increase, reaching an average annual rate of 18%. However, behind the increase in plastic surgery medical tourism, it has emerged as a national issue between Korea and China due to the problem of illegal brokers and medical accidents. The purpose of this study was to solve these problems and to find a way to develop the medical tourism industry in Goyang City by confirming the way to create a ‘Beauty-Zone’ for the development of the medical tourism industry in Goyang City. As a result of the study, medical tourism has been promoted mainly in China and Southeast Asia due to the ripple effect of 'K-pop', 'K-beauty' and 'K-drama'. It has been confirmed that it is essential to create a 'Beauty-zone' in Goyang to attract visitors. In particular, it was suggested to create a ‘Beauty-Zone’ to attract more medical tourists to Goyang and to develop the medical tourism industry, first, it was confirmed that a special tourism zone related to ‘Beauty-Zone’ should be created, second, a densely populated area for skin beauty and plastic surgery, and third, the Goyang City Medi-Tour Center should be established.
