국문 초록

죽음에 대해 가장 많은 고민을 하는 종교에서도 죽음 이후에 대한 정확한 개념이 없다. 2009년 노무현 전 대통령이 자살로 생을 마감했을 때도 각 종교는 상이한 입장을 내놓았다. 특히 각 종교는 그 동안 자살에 대해서 부정적인 입장을 취해왔고, 심지어 지옥과도 연결해 왔다. 그런데 각 종교는 교리가 아니라 정치적 입장에 따라서 그의 구원을 다르게 설명했다. 따라서 죽음에 대한 종교적 입장, 특히 기독교의 입장을 정확히 해 볼 필요가 있다. 한국은 전통적으로 죽음에 대해서 친화적이었다. 한국인들은 죽음을 가까이 두면서 친해지려고 했고, 유교적 전통에 따라서 죽은 이들을 떠나보내는 것이 아니라 보이지 않는 가족으로 함께 했다. 그래서 이들은 기억과 재현을 통해 한 가족으로 여기고 있다. 성경은 죽음에 대해서 부정적이다. 죄의 결과로 보았다. 죽은 자들은 하나님을 찬양하지도 못하고, 그 관계에서 단절되어 있다. 그들은 스올이라는 죽음의 자리에 있다. 그럼에도 그곳도 하나님의 통치의 자리이다. 신약에서는 죽음 이후를 하나님 안에 감추인 것으로 보았다. 그것은 평안을 말하며, 사랑과 평화의 자리이다. 또한 산 자의 생각이 있다. 하나님 앞에서 모든 인간은 죽은 것이 아니라 살아있는 것이다. 그래서 하나님은 살아 있는 자의 하나님이라고 한다. 히브리 전통에서 인간은 영, 혼, 육으로 나뉘는 것이 아니라 총체적 존재이다. 따라서 죽음도 이러한 존재의 끝이다. 그러나 이후 부활이 기다리고 있다. 죽음이 인간의 한계를 드러내지만 여기서 하나님의 능력이 나타난다. 그래서 전적인 죽음이 있지만 이후 육체적 부활을 포함하는 온전한 부활이 기다리고 있다. 예수의 부활은 이처럼 죽음 이후 잠자는 상태에 있는 인간들의 부활을 보여주는 첫 열매이다. 이로써 예수 안에서 죽은 자와 산 자들의 코이노니아를 이루어 간다. 현대사회에서 죽음은 소외되어 있다. 죽음에 이르는 과정과 죽음과 죽음 이후도 소외되어 사람들의 삶에서 벗어나 상업화되었다. 이렇게 죽음에 대해서 벗어나 있는 인간들은 삶의 기준을 잃어버리고 방황하고 있다. 이러한 절대적 가치를 잃어버린 인간들은 혼란과 불안을 겪으며 정신적 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 죽음을 바로 이해하고 세워가는 것은 정신 문제의 중요한 부분이고, 자살예방의 중요한 과제라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Even in religions that have the most worries about death, there is no exact concept of post-death. Roh Moo-hyun, former president, 2009 each religion was in a different position when he died in suicide. In particular, each religion has taken a negative stance on suicide and even connected it to hell. Each religion, however, explained his salvation differently depending on his political position, not his doctrine. Therefore, it is necessary to correct the religious position on death, especially from the Christian point of view. Korea has traditionally been friendly to death. Koreans tried to make friends by keeping close to death and in accordance with Confucian tradition, joined them as invisible families, not leaving the dead. Therefore, they are regarded as a family through memory and reproduction. The Bible is negative about death. I saw it as a result of sin. The dead cannot praise God, and they are cut off from the relationship. They are in the position of death called Seorl. Nevertheless, it is also the place of God's rule. In the New Testament, it was seen as concealing after death in God. It is a place of peace, a place of love and peace. There is also the thought of the living. In the presence of God, all men are not dead, but alive. So God is said to be the God of the living. In Hebrew tradition, humans are not divided into spirits, souls, and flesh, but are holistic beings. Therefore, death is the end of this existence. However, a resurrection awaits afterwards. Death reveals human limitations, but God's power appears here. So there is a whole death, but a complete resurrection awaits, including a subsequent physical resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus is the first fruit that shows the resurrection of humans who have been sleeping since their death. This makes up the coinonia of the dead and the living in Jesus. Death is alienated in modern society. The process leading to death ,after death and death were also alienated and commercialized away from people's lives. Humans who are so free from death have lost their standard of living and are wandering. Humans who have lost these absolute values are suffering from mental distress and anxiety. Understanding and establishing death is an important part of mental problems and an important task in preventing suicide.
