국문 초록

한반도의 현실과 남북통일에의 미래의제를 안고 있는 우리 남한 국민들이 분단 현실을 극복하고 남북경제통합이라는 미래의제를 해소하기 위해서는, 일차적으로 북한 사회 및 현실에 대한 지식들이 전제되어야 한다. 그렇다면 과연 남한국민들이 북한 사회에 대해 얼마나 인지하고 있는가. 우리 국민의 북한 경제ㆍ사회에 대한 인식도로서 ‘북한경제사회인식지수’를 연구하는 것은 분단의 한반도를극복하고 통일된 한국을 지향해야하는 우리 남한의 현주소를 적나라하게 파헤치는 것이고, 그것이 본 연구의 일차적 목적이다. 우리 국민은 세계에서 유일한 분단국가의 국민으로서 평화ㆍ협력적 남북경제통합을 주도해야 한다. 이것는 우리국민이 북한의 정치체제, 외교 및 군사 부문에 한정적인 시각과 문제들에 가려져서 ‘있는 그대로’ 인지하지 못하는 부정적 한계에서 탈피하여, 북한 경제사회 및문화 등 북한 전반에 걸친 실질적인 현상에 집중하여 북한에 대한 ‘있는 그대로’ 의 인식을 도모하여야 하며 또한 북한인식의 변동ㆍ변화를 객관적으로 살펴보아야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리 국민이 북한에 대해 ‘있는 그대로’의 정보가 전달되어 올바른 북한관 확립과 명확한 이해를 할 수 있는 교두보를 준비하고, 향후 북한과 관련된 연구와 대내외 정책을 구상하고 설정하는데 효과적인 지표로서 널리 이용될 수 있는 기회를 마련해줄 것이다.

영문 초록

In order for the people of the Republic of Korea, who have the reality of the divided country and the future task of reunification of the two Koreas, to overcome the reality of division and solve the future task of inter-Korean economic integration, knowledge of North Korean society and circumstances must be basically premised. If so, how much do South Koreans know about North Korean society? Researching the "North Korea Economic and Social Perception Index" as a public awareness of the North Korean economy and society is to clearly grasp the current state of Korea, which should overcome the divided Korea and aim for a unified Korea, and that is the primary purpose of this study. The Korean people should lead peaceful inter-Korean economic integration as the only people in the world's divided nation. This means that the Korean people should focus more on the economic, social, and cultural aspects of North Korea and recognize North Korea as it is, instead of the negative limitations of not being "as it is" due to limited views and issues in the political, diplomatic, and military sectors. Therefore, this study will provide a bridgehead for the Korean people to establish and accurately understand North Korea by delivering "as-is" knowledge and information about North Korea, and provide an opportunity to be widely used as an indicator for future research and internal and external policies.
