국문 초록

평화통일은 역사적, 민족적 과제이며 우리 모두가 추구해야 할 지향점이다. 그러 나 남북통일에 대한 세대 코호트 격차가 존재하며 세대별 통일의식의 괴리는 갈등 을 양산하고 급기야 통일의 걸림돌로 작용할 우려가 있다. 이는 세대의 특수성을 감 안한 통일교육 구상을 요청한다. 이성과 정서는 교육에서 중요한데 이 중 정서는 사 고, 태도, 행위에 결정적 역할을 하는 경우가 상당하다. 초등학생 시기는 성인에 비 해 정서적으로 매우 민감하다. 정서가 인식과 행동에 지대한 영향을 미친다는 점에 서 통일교육에서 통일정서에도 주의를 기울일 필요가 있다. 한편, 정서 구성주의를 강조한 Barrett은 인간이 뇌, 신체, 문화와의 독특한 상호 작용을 통해 다양한 정서 를 구성한다고 주장한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초등학생의 코호트 특성을 염두에 두고 정서적 차원에서 통일교육 방법 즉, 통일정서교육을 조명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 초등학생의 정서발달 특성과 교육에서 유념할 점을 검토하였다. 둘째, Barrett의 정서 구성주의와 이것의 교육적 시사점을 살펴보았다. 셋째, 통일정서교육 의 의미, 필요성, 목표를 탐구하였다. 넷째, 초등학생의 정서발달 특징을 감안하여 Barrett의 정서이론에 기초한 통일정서교육 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Peace Reunification is a historical and national task, which is a direction we should pursue, as a nation. There is a need for reunification education, which will take into account the characteristics of each generation. Elementary school students are particularly sensitive emotionally. Emotions also have a profound influence on perceptions and behaviors. For this reason, it is crucial to pay attention to emotions in reunification education, as they significantly contribute to thinking, attitudes, and actions. Barrett, who emphasized emotion constructivism, argues that humans construct various emotions through interactions with the brain, body, and culture. Therefore, this study tried to emphasize reunification emotional education, a method of reunification education, from an emotional level with the cohort characteristics of elementary school students in mind. First, the characteristics of elementary school students’ emotional development and important points in the educational field to keep in mind were reviewed. Second, Barrett’s emotional constructivism and its educational implications were examined. Third, the meaning, necessity, and goal of reunification emotional education were explored. Fourth, considering the characteristics of elementary school students’ emotional development, a reunification emotional education lesson plan based on Barrett’s emotion theory was proposed.
