청소년의 자율적 통제력과 성인물 노출이 온라인 성적 피해 경험에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 청소년의 자율적 통제력과 성인물 노출이 온라인 성적 피해 경험에 미치는 영향을 교육 경험의 조절된 매개효과를 통해 살펴보았다. 청소년이 교육을 통해 스스로 자신이 성적 매체에 노출되는 것을 통제함으로써 온라인에서의 성적 피해 경험에 미치는 경향을 파악하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 자율적 통제력과 생활양식관련이론에 근거한 성인물 노출 수준을 활용하였다. 분석 자료는 여성가족부에서 실시한 「2020 청소년 매체이용 및 유해환경 실태조사」를 활용하였고, 청소년 14,536명을 대상으로 수집한 온라인 성적 피해 경험에 대한 자료를 활용하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 청소년의 자율적 통제력은 성인물 노출 수준을 매개하여 온라인 성적 피해 경험에 유의한 영향을 가지는 것으로 검증되었다. 즉, 청소년의 자율적 통제력이 높을수록 성인물 노출 수준이 감소하고, 낮은 노출 수준은 낮은 온라인 성적 피해 경험으로 이어졌다. 둘째, 자율적 통제력과 노출수준의 관계에서 교육의 조절효과를 분석한 결과 교육을 받지 않은 집단과 교육을 받은 집단이 모두 부적으로 영향을 미치지만, 교육을 받았을 때 자율적 통제력과 노출 수준의 부적관계가 더 강하게 나타났다. 셋째, 자율적 통제력과 온라인 성적 피해 경험의 관계에서 노출수준의 매개효과는 교육 유무에 따라 유의미한 조절효과가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 마지막으로 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년들의 온라인 성적 피해를 예방하기 위해 청소년의 자율적 통제력을 높여주고 성인물 노출 수준을 감소시키기 위한 매체이용교육, 예방교육, 성교육 등 다양한 교육 프로그램의 개입 및 발전을 위한 정책적 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effect of adolescents' autonomous control and exposure to adult contents on their online sexual victimization experiences via the moderated mediation effect of education experience. The authors purported to investigate if adolescents’ experience of online sexual victimization can be prevented by their willingness to control their exposure to adult contents and by education. Specifically, independent variable autonomous control and exposure to adult contents based on lifestyle-related theory were employed in the analysis models. For the study, we analyzed the "2020 Youth Media Use and Hazardous Environment Survey", which collected by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and the data included the responses from 14,536 teenagers with regard to their online sexual victimization experiences. As a result, first, it was verified that the autonomous control of adolescents had a significant effect on the online sexual victimization by mediating the exposure level. In other words, the higher the autonomous control of adolescents, the lower the exposure level, and the lower the exposure level, the lower the online sexual victimization. Second, as a result of analyzing the moderating effect of education in the relationship between autonomous control and exposure level, both uneducated and educated groups had a negative effect, but the negative relationship between autonomous control and exposure level was stronger when educated. Third, it was verified that the mediating effect of exposure level in the relationship between autonomous control and online sexual victimiation has a significant moderating effect depending on the presence or absence of education. Finally, based on the results, suggestions were made for the intervention and development of various educational programs such as media use education, violence prevention education, and sex education to increase youth's autonomous control and lower exposure levels.
