국문 초록

올해는 한국과 몽골이 수교를 맺은 지 32주년이 되는 해이다. 두 나라의 관계는 사회 전반에서 양적으로 또는 질적으로 확대 발전하고 있는 반면에 두 나라의 기업들이나 통번역 인력을 필요로 하는 기관들은 전문 통번역사가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 한국내 학부 몽골어 통번역 교육과정 현황을 파악하고, 이를 토대로 몽골어 전공자를 위한 보다 효과적인 몽골어 통번역 교육과정이 개발되는데 있어 개선 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 학부 몽골어 통번역 교육과정이 일반 외국어 계열의 학부 및 학과에서 개설되어 있는 통번역 수업의 성격에서 통번역의 기본 이론 및 방법론을 반영한 더 나아가 통번역의 훈련과 실습을 실시하는 몽골어 통번역 능력을 향상하는 방향으로 개선되어야 한다.

영문 초록

This year is the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Mongolia. Relations between the two countries are expanding and developing both quantitatively and qualitatively, but there is a shortage of professional interpreters and translators in companies or institutions that require interpreting personnel. This article tried to identify the current status of the Mongolian language interpretation and translation curriculum for undergraduates in Korea, and to suggest ways to improve the development of a more effective Mongolian interpretation and translation curriculum for Mongolian majors. The undergraduate Mongolian language interpretation and translation curriculum needs to be improved. This needs to be improved in the direction of improving the Mongolian language interpretation and translation ability, which reflects the basic theory and methodology of interpretation and translation, beyond the nature of the interpretation and translation classes offered by faculties and departments of general foreign language departments, and further training and practice of interpretation and translation.
