코로나19가 콘텐츠산업 노동시장에 미친 영향

국문 초록

인력의 특성에 따른 외생적 충격의 영향 차이를 분석하는 이질적 처치 고정효과 모형(Heterogenous Treatment Fixed-effect Model)을 적용하여 코로나19가 콘텐츠산업 노동시장에 미친 영향을 분석하였다. 개별 영상콘텐츠 제작인력의 3개년도(2019~2021) 정보를 제공하는 ｢영상콘텐츠 제작인력 노동환경 조사」자료를 활용해 분석한 결과, 코로나19가 영상콘텐츠 제작인력 일과 소득에 미친 영향은 계약 형태에 따라 차이가 나타났다. 코로나19로 근로계약자의 노동시간은 증가했고 도급/위임계약자의 프로젝트 수는 감소했다. 근로계약자와 도급/위임계약자의 소득과 도급/위임계약자의 영상콘텐츠 관련 소득이 감소했다. 반면 개인 창작자의 일과 소득에는 코로나19가 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이상의 결과는 코로나19로 영상콘텐츠 제작시장에서 프로젝트는 감소했으며, 내부인력 활용은 증가하고 외부인력(업체) 활용은 위축되었음을 보여준다. 또한, 인력 특성별 코로나19의 영향 차이는 정책대상과 자원배분에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study evaluated the impact of COVID-19 on the labor market in the content industry by applying a Heterogenous Treatment Fixed-effect Model that analyzes the difference in the effects of exogenous shocks according to the characteristics of workers in the content industry. As a result of using the “Video Content Worker Working Environment Survey” data, which provides information on individual video content worker for three years, I found that the impact of COVID-19 on the work and income of video content worker differs depending on the contract type. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the working hours of employment contractor increased and the number of projects for subcontractor/delegating contractor decreased. Income declined for both contract types, but income related to video content declined only for subcontractor/delegating contractor. On the other hand, COVID-19 did not significantly affect the work and income of individual creators. These results show that the number of projects and the use of external manpower (company) have decreased in the video content production market due to COVID-19. The difference in the impact of COVID-19 by worker characteristics provides implications for policy targets and resource allocation.
