‘淸廉’의 함의와 ‘中國淸官’

국문 초록

본고는 중국 역사 이래로 ‘淸官’으로 칭송되며 현대까지 대중들의 존경과 사랑을 받는 역사인물 包拯⋅況鍾⋅海瑞에 대한 그간의 연구 성과를 바탕으로 ‘淸廉’의 역사적 함의와 ‘청관’의 범위를 비정 해보고, 이 주제어에 부합하는 보다 확장된 중국 청관을 고찰하고자 하였다. 이를 통해서‘中國 淸官’이 역사를 넘어서 정치⋅사회⋅문화 전반에 걸쳐 가지고 있는 사회적 가치에 대해서도 소기의 결론을 도출하고자 하였다. 또한 중국 청관 중에는 그 이름이 비단 과거에만 머물지 않고 오늘을 살아가는 대중과도 공존하는 包拯⋅況鍾⋅海瑞와 같은 몇몇 청관이 있다. 이들은 영화로, 연극으로, 드라마로 투영되어 대중과 공존하면서, 현대 사회가 안고 있는 각종 불공정과 부정부패로 야기된 갈등을 잠시나마 해소할 수 있는 정신적 해방구이자 문화적 아이콘으로 나아가고 있다. 중국과 비슷한 문화적 배경을 가진 우리는 ‘청관’과 같은 인문학적 이상 모델이 현대 문화콘텐츠로 연착한 중국의 사례를 통해 ‘청렴’의 가치와 ‘청관’에 대한 사회적 공감대에 대해 다시 한 번 성찰할 기회를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study compared and determined the historical implication and the range of ‘upright’ based on the research results so far on ‘Bao-Zheng’, ‘Kuang-Zhong’ and ‘Hai-Rui’, the historical figures who have been praised as ‘incorruptible official’ and beloved by the public in the history of China till now and intended to examine more expanded Chinese incorruptible official conformed with this keyword. Through that, it was intended to draw conclusion of the social value that Chinese Incorruptible Official has across the politics, society and culture beyond the history. In addition, among the Chinese incorruptible officials, there are several incorruptible officials whose name has coexisted with the public of today like ‘Bao-Zheng’, ‘Kuang-Zhong’ and ‘Hai-Rui’, without remaining only in the past. They coexist with the public by being projected into the movie, theater and drama and are going forward as a psychological haven and cultural icon that can relieve the discord caused by various unfairness and corruption contained by modern society. We, who have similar cultural background, would be able to obtain the opportunity to contemplate the social empathy on the ‘value of upright’ and ‘incorruptible official’ through the Chinese case that the humanitarian ideal model like ‘incorruptible official’ has been settled down as modern cultural contents.
