熊津·사비기 百濟土器 編年에 대하여

국문 초록

한성기 이후 웅진기, 사비기에 걸쳐 지속적으로 제작 사용되었던 기종들 가운데 가장 대표적인 삼족기와 직구단경호를 대상으로 각각 다수의 속성들을 관찰해본 다음 시기적 변화를 비교적 잘 반영하고 있는 것으로 평가되는 속성들의 구체적 변천양상을 토대로 웅진·사비기 토기편년을 위한 틀을 모색해 보았다. 熊津期(475-538년)는 유개배형삼족기의 형태변화를 토대로 역시 3단계 정도의 구분이 가능하나, 직구단경호의 경우 2단계 정도의 구분이 나타난다. 泗비期는 사비 Ⅰ기(538-600년), 사비 Ⅱ기(600-660년)로 구분하였는데, Ⅰ기는 다시 유개배형삼족기의 형태변화를 토대로 4단계 가량의 세분이 가능하며, 직구단경호에는 2-3단계 가량의 변화단계 설정이 가능하다. Ⅱ기에 대해서는 현재까지 알려진 자료가 많지 않아 적어도 삼족기나 직구단경호 등을 근거로 세분하기가 쉽지 않다. 그러나, 장차 이들과 공반된 여타 기종들에 대한 관찰을 통하여 세분될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Little has been known about the details of the Ungjin-Sabi period pottery chronology. While this is largely due to the lack of pottery remains datede to the period, the problem is complicated by the fact that Baekje relocated the capital to Ungjin (modern day Gongju) and again to Sabi (Buyeo) in the fifth and sixth centuries AD. The present study is directed to presenting a chronological framework for Baekje pottery remains focusing on tripods with stubby legs and globular jar with straight neck, the two main components of the Baekje pottery assemblage. The two vessel types show historical continuity from the Hanseong period to the Sabi period. Historical change is well reflected in the relative depth and relative spot of the leg attachment for the tripods: a general tendency toward shallower vessel and larger legs can be observed as statistical summaries show. Also, the globular jar type also reveals changes in general shape toward plat bottom with noticeable shoulder. The Hanseong period can be divided into two phases: phase I from the middle and late third century to the middle fourth century, and phase Ⅱ to 475 AD when the capital was relocated to Ungjin. Two to three phases could be applied to the Ungjin period (475-538 AD). The Sabi period is also divided into two phases: phase I (538-6000) and phase Ⅱ (600-660).
