척수손상 중증장애인의 삶의 체험에 관한 해석학적 현상학 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 ‘인간이 중도에 전신마비 장애를 가지고 살아간다는 것은 무엇을 의미하는가?’에 대한체험연구다. 연구의 목적은 첫째, 표면적으로 드러나는 신체적 장애 외에 잘 드러나지 않는 특수한 삶의 체험을 드러내어 그들의 삶을 깊이 있게 이해하는 것이다. 둘째, 장애로 인해 파생되는삶의 정체성 혼란과 같은 심리적 어려움을 지원할 수 있는 상담과제와 원리를 제안하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 척수장애를 가진 총 7명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하고 van Manen의 해석학적 현상학 연구 방법을 적용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 척수장애인의 삶의 체험에 관한본질적 주제는 5개로, <뒤범벅이 된 혼란스러운 삶>, <상황 속, 삶의 의미를 잃은 존재>, <소외된 실존>, <현존재로 다시 살아내는 삶>, <침묵의 주제들>로 드러났다. 이 연구는 척수장애인들이 장애를 입은 후 경험하게 되는 삶의 체험을 구체적으로 드러내 제시함으로써 척수장애인을바라보는 기존 선행연구들의 ‘치료와 돌봄’, ‘신체적 기능회복을 위한 재활’ 그리고 ‘자원 연계 및지원을 통한 돌봄의 대상’으로 보는 관점에서 벗어나 상담학에서 가지는 인간관-자기 삶을 능동적으로 살아내는 관점-을 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is an Lived Experience study on ‘What does it mean for a human to live with a paralysis disorder in the middle of their lives?’ The purpose of the study is first, to understand their lives in depth by revealing special experiences of life that are not well revealed except for physical disabilities that are apparent on the surface. Second, it is to suggest counseling tasks and principles that can support psychological difficulties such as identity confusion of life derived from disability. To do this, in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 7 people with spinal cord disability, and the data were analyzed by applying van Manen’s hermeneutic phenomenological research method. As a result of the study, there are five essential themes regarding the life experience of the spinal cord disabled person, , , , and , . This study is by specifically presenting to reveal the experiences of life after people had spinal cord disability, and to break away from the view of existing prior studies looking at the spinal cord disabled regarding ‘treatment and care’, ‘rehabilitation for physical function recovery’ and ‘resource connection and subjects of care through support’ so that it is meaningful in that it provides a human view of counselling which is a viewpoint of actively living one’s own life
