일반학교와 대안학교 중학생의 장애수용태도 비교

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 일반학교와 대안학교 중학생의 장애수용태도를 비교하여 대안학교의 교육이 통합교육에 긍정적으로 작용할 수 있는지를 알아보고, 대안학교 학생의 장애수용태도에 영향을 미치는 변인을 살펴봄으로써 대안학교의 통합교육에 대한 보다 구체적인 시사점을 얻는 데 있다. 이를 위한 연구문제는 첫째, 일반학교와 대안학교 중학생은 성별, 학년, 통합교육 경험, 장애인식개선교육 경험, 특수교사 유무에 따라 장애수용태도에 차이가 있는가?, 둘째, 대안학교 중학생은 성별, 학년, 통합교육 경험, 장애인식개선교육 경험, 특수교사 유무에 따라 장애수용태도에 차이가 있는가이다. 이를 위해 대전과 충남 지역 일반학교 4개, 대안학교 4개 중학교의 484명에게 장애수용태도를 설문조사하였으며, 두 독립 표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 일반 학교의 모든 중학생과 연구에 참여한 대안학교의 모든 중학생 사이에 장애 수용 태도가 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 대안학교학생은 여학생이 남학생보다 장애수용태도가 높았고, 2학년과 3학년 간 장애수용태도에는 차이가 없었다. 그리고 장애인식개선 교육을 받은 대안학교 학생들이 받지 않은 학생들보다 장애수용태도가 더 높았다. 마지막으로 대안학교 중 1개교는 통합교육을 하고 있지만 특수교사는 고용되어 있지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구를 통하여 첫째, 대안학교의 수업에서 장애를 어떻게 가르치는지, 대안학교의 학생들이 장애에 대해 어떻게 생각하는지 알기 위해 질적 연구가 필요하며, 대안학교의 통합교육실시를 어렵게 하는 구체적인 원인과 해결 방안에 대한 연구가 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study compared the disability acceptance attitudes of middle school students in general schools and alternative schools in order to find out whether the education of alternative schools can have a positive effect on inclusive education. In addition, in order to obtain implications for improving the quality of inclusive education, it was examined how the disability acceptance attitudes of alternative school students vary according to the characteristics of the students. For the study, 498 middle school students from 4 general schools and 4 alternative schools in Daejeon and Chungnam areas participated in the questionnaire, and two independent sample t tests were conducted to analyze the data. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was no significant difference in disability acceptance attitude between all middle school students in general schools and all middle school students in alternative schools who participated in the study. Second, in alternative school students, female students showed higher disability acceptance attitude than male students, and second and third graders did not show any difference in disability acceptance attitude. And, students at alternative schools who were educated in the disability awareness improvement education in middle school students showed higher disability acceptance attitude than students in alternative schools who were not educated in the disability awareness improvement education in middle school students. Lastly, one of the alternative schools had inclusive education, but no special teacher was employed. The proposal for the next study is as follows; First, in alternative schools In-depth research is needed to see how disability is handled. It is necessary to find out how disability is taught in class at alternative schools, and how students at alternative schools think of disability. Second, there is a need for research on specific causes that make alternative schools difficult to practice inclusive education and ways to solve them. If the advantages of alternative schools can be utilized, more students with disabilities will be able to experience beneficial inclusive education.
