유아의 정서지능이 창의성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아의 정서지능과 창의성 간의 상관관계 및 정서지능이 창의성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 창의성은 창의사고와 창의성격으로 구분하였으며 정서지능과 창의사고, 창의성격간의 상관관계와 정서지능이 창의사고 및 창의성격에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보았다. 연구대상은 사회경제적 배경이 비슷한 환경에 있는 만 5세 유아 64명(남:28명. 여:36명)을 선정하여 문용린(1997)의 정서지능 척도, 이경화(2010)의 표준화된 유아용 창의성 검사를 사용하여 분석하였다. 자료분석을 위해 Pearson 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 유아의 정서지능과 창의사고와 창의성격 간에 부분적인 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 정서지능은 창의사고에는 유의미한 설명력이 나타나지 않았으나 창의성격에는 의미있는 설명력이 있음이 밝혀졌다. 유아의 정서지능이 창의성격에 의미있는 영향을 준다는 결과에 의해 유아의 창의성 증진을 위해 자신의 고유한 감정을 인식하고 조절하며 적절히 표현할 수 있는 정서지능을 위해 안정적인 정서지지 교육환경이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, the correlation between emotional intelligence and creativity of young children and the effect of emotional intelligence on creativity were investigated. Creativity was consisted two subfactors, creative thinking ability and creative personality. For this purpose, the correlation between emotional intelligence, creative thinking ability, and creative personality, and the effects emotional intelligence on creative thinking ability and creative personality were investigate. The subjects of this study were 64 5-year-old infants (male:28, female:36) who had similar socio-economic backgrounds and used the emotional intelligence scale of Moon(1997) and the standardized creativity test for young children of Lee(2010). For data analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed. As a result, first, there was a partial positive correlation between emotional intelligence and creativity of young children. Second, it was found that the emotional intelligence of young children did not show significance in creative thinking ability, but there was a meaningful expectation in the creative personality. As a result of the results that children s emotional intelligence has a meaningful effect on creativity, it is suggested that a stable emotional support educational environment is needed for emotional intelligence that can recognize, control, and appropriately express their own emotions to promote children s creativity.
