국문 초록

본고에서 규정하는 遺逸文學은 조선조 한문학사에서 16세기라는 한정된 시기에 독특한 일군의 성리학자에 의해 창출된 문학성향을 가리킨다. 遺逸은 學德이나 재능을 지녀 朝官이 될 자질을 갖추었으면서도 벼슬하지 않고 재야에 은거하였다가, 사화기를 거치면서 遺逸薦擧에 의해 등용되는 지식인이다. 이들은 출사하지 않고 심성수양과 학문연구에 진력하여, 백성의 신망이 두텁던 당대 석학들이었다. 16세기 유일은 우리 역사상 매우 특별한 의미를 갖는 시대적 산물이라 할 수 있다. 이들은 前後의 천거인과는 그 성향을 달리한다. 당대 그들만의 존재방식과 철학이념을 견지하였고, 이를 문학작품으로 승화시켜 표출하였다. 이들은 물러나 있으면서 다양한 사회활동을 통해 사회적 입지를 확보하였고, 그 위상이 出仕人 못잖게 대단하였다. 특히 16세기에 이르러 조정에서 이들을 遺逸로 대거 천거하면서 그 존재와 가치가 더욱 빛이 났다. 본고에서는 이들의 작품 속에 나타나는 문학특성을 ‘遺逸文學’이라 규정하고, 문학작품 속에 표출된 그 특징들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그 중에서도 그들 삶의 핵심인 出處를 중심으로 살펴봄으로써, 이들의 존재방식이 문학작품 속에 형상화되는 양상을 살펴보았다. 본고가 지니는 연구사적 의의는 바로 우리 한문학사에 등장하는 유일의 존재와 그들의 문학인 유일문학을 소개하고 밝히는 試論이라는 데에 있다.

영문 초록

The words of Yu-il literature(遺逸文學) is a peculiar jenre which created by a bunch of Confucian scholars in the 16th century on the history of Korean literature. And Yu-il(遺逸) is a person who live the rest of their life in seclusion being out of office although they possessed both the learning and virtue or an ability to perform official duty. It s meaning also include the recommended or appointed intellectuals who retired from the official position while passing the time so called the purge of Confucian officials(士禍). They were erudite scholars who had cultivated their mind and paid attention to study hard without obtaining an official position while living in each hometown earning the esteem of the public. Like this, Yu-il was a significant creature in the times of the 16th century. So it needed contriving to win Yu-il over to the bureaucrat s side for Yu-il s power was getting bigger and bigger. The tactics participating Yu-il in politics was a good measurement to regain the people s reliance under the circumstances of those days that the political justification and morality were fell down day by day due to the four times of the purge of Confucian officials. This fact is the background that Yu-il recommendation are activated and it take a important part of the examination the matter of forming the Yu-il literature in the 16th century. This article is about exhibited literary characteristic which is pointed out and presented in 16th century s works of Yu-il.
