국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 고교학점제로 대표되는 학생 맞춤형 교육과정 도입에 따른 인문소양교육의 전망과 과제를 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 고교학점제 정책과 인문소양교육의 의미를 고찰한 후, 예상되는 인문소양교육의 난점에 대하여 논의하였다. 고교학점제는 학교 교육의 질 개선 취지에서 논의되었으며, 학생의 과목 선택권을 강화하는 방향으로 진행되고 있다. 인문소양교육은 2015 개정 교육과정 총론에서 강조점을 찾을 수 있으며, 학생의 자아 정체성 형성, 전인적 성장, 민주시민 역량함양 등의 의의를 갖는다. 그러나 고교학점제의 적용에 따라 인문학 과목의 선택률저하가 우려되며, 이는 인문소양교육의 질적 하락과 교사⋅학생의 부정적인 인식으로이어질 우려가 있다. 이러한 문제 인식을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 문⋅이과 융합형내용요소 확대와 인문 교과군의 신설을 제안하였으며, 인문소양교육에 대한 교사의전문성 신장 노력도 강조하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive the prospects and tasks of humanities literacy education according to the introduction of a customized curriculum for students represented by the high school credit system. First, after examining the high school credit system policy and the meaning of humanities literacy education, the expected difficulties of humanities literacy education were discussed. The high school credit system was discussed to improve the quality of school education, and is being conducted in the direction of strengthening students right to choose subjects. Humanities and literacy education can be found in the general discussion of the 2015 revised curriculum, and has significance in terms of student personality education, democratic citizenship competency, and self-realization. As the high school credit system is applied, there is a concern that the selection rate of humanities subjects will decrease, which may lead to a decline in the quality of humanities literacy education and negative perceptions of teachers and students. Based on this recognition of the problem, this study proposed the expansion of the convergence content elements of liberal arts and natural sciences and the establishment of a humanities subject group, and emphasized the efforts of teachers to improve their professionalism.
