맥락적 양면성의 선행 요인 및 매개적 역할에 관한 실증연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 급변하는 기업환경하에서 기업의 생존과 성장의 핵심인 기업의 혁신을 맥락적 양면성 관점에서조명한 연구이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 맥락적 양면성을 촉진하고 향상시키기 위한 주요 변인으로 사내기업가정신을 독립변수로 설정하여 그 관계를 파악하였다. 이를 위해 국내 중소벤처기업 521개사를 대상으로 설문조사를 통한 가설 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 사내기업가정신의 하위 구성요소인 혁신성, 진취성, 위험감수성 변수가 모두 맥락적 양면성에정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 맥락적 양면성 역시 기업성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는것으로 확인되었으며, 사내기업가정신과 기업성과간의 관계에서도 긍정적인 매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 이상의 연구결과는 급속한 산업환경 변화속에서 중소벤처기업이 지속적인 성장과 혁신 성장을 도모하기위해서는 조직내 맥락적 관점에서 전사적 차원의 혁신역량 구축이 필수적임을 시사한다. 끝으로, 본 연구에서는 기존의 양면성 측정 및 분석의 한계로 지적한 양면성의 두 가지 특성을 모두 반영하였다.

영문 초록

This study sheds light on corporate innovation, which is a crucial key to the survival and growth of a company in a rapidly changing business environment from a contextual ambivalence point of view. This research regarded corporate entrepreneurship as an independent variable to promote and improve contextual ambidexterity. The study has investigated the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and contextual ambivalence by analyzing a survey targeting 521 small and medium-sized venture companies in Korea. Results show that corporate entrepreneurship 3 sub-constructs-innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactivenesshave a significantly positive effect on contextual ambidexterity. Second, the contextual ambidexterity also has a significantly positive effect on business performance. In addition, contextual ambidexterity has a mediating effect on the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and business performance. This study implies that it is crucial to build the innovation capability based on contextual ambidexterity within the organization for taking sustainable growth and increasing the speed of change in a rapidly changing industrial environment. Finally, this study contributes to extend extant the literature by reflecting both characteristics of ambidexterity.
