어린이 영화교육의 필요성

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 영화교육의 필요성을 다루고있다.그동안 한국에서 영화교육은 비록 늦게 시작했지만 빠르게 학교교육에 정착하고 있다. 하지만 한국문화예술교육진흥원의 학교 영화교육도 10년 이상의 시간이 흘러서 정체기를 겪고 있다. 실제적으로 학교 영화교육을 진행하고 있는 예술강사의 수와 학교 수가 전혀 증가하고 있지 않기 때문이다. 이것은 한국문화예술교육진흥원의 지원 예산과 관련되어 있으므로 더는 증가하기 어려운 구조적 문제로 파악된다. 한편, 초등학생들을 대상으로 한 영화교육에서 가장 큰 어려움은 바로 영화 텍스트의 부족이라고 할 수 있다. 다시 말해서, 영화교육 시간에 다룰 수 있는 영화가 너무 적다는 점이다. 영상물등급위원회 등급 분류에 따른 전체관람가 영화만 원칙적으로 가능하기 때문이다. 12세 관람가 영화는 초등학교 6학년 일부 학생들만 해당되기 때문에 12세 관람가 영화는 초등학교 영화교육 시간에 사용하기에는 적합하지 않다. 전체관람가만을 초등학교에서 사용하게 되면 실제적으로 애니메이션에 한정되는 경우가 종종 나타난다.

영문 초록

This study deals with the necessity of film education in elementary school. In the meantime, although film education in Korea started late, it has quickly settled in school education. However, the Korean Academy of Culture and Arts Education s school film education is also experiencing stagnation after more than 10 years. This is because the number of art instructors and the number of schools conducting film education in schools is not increasing at all. This is regarded as a structural problem that is difficult to increase anymore because it is related to the budget of the Korea Culture and Arts Promotion Agency. On the other hand, the biggest difficulty in film education for elementary school students is the lack of film text. In other words, there are too few films that can be dealt with during film education. This is because only the movies can be viewed in general according to the classification of the Video Rating Board. The 12-year-old spectator film is not suitable for use in the elementary school film education class, because only a few students in 6th grade elementary school. When only the entire audience is used in elementary school, it is often limited to animation.
