다층모형을 활용한 교사들의 교내 수업개선 노력에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교사들의 교내 수업개선 노력에 영향을 미치는 변인을 다층모형을 이용하여 교장・교사수준별로 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 한국교육개발원의 ‘학교교육 실태 및 수준 분석연구 2013’ 데이터를 사용하여 총 192명 교장과 6,377명 교사들의 자료가 분석되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들의 ‘교내 수업개선 노력’에 대하여 교장차이에서 설명할수 있는 변량의 비율은 10%로 교사들의 교내 수업개선 활동은 학교교장들 역량에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들의 양성교육기관 유형과 근속기간, 담임여부는 교사들 교내수업개선 활동에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤지만, 성별과 학교유형은 영향을 미치지 않았다. 셋째,학교장의 해당학교 교사들에 대한 긍정적 견해는 교사들의 ‘교외 수업개선 활동’ 학교 평균에유의미한 영향력을 나타냈다. 특히 학교장의 해당학교 교사에 대한 긍정적인 견해가 높은 학교일수록 교사들의 ‘교외 수업개선 노력’에 미치는 영향력이 부적으로 작용하였다. 넷째, 교장들의 해당학교 ‘교사들에 대한 견해’는 교사들의 ‘교내 수업개선 노력’에 유의미하게 영향력을 나타냈다. 다섯째, 교장의 해당학교 교사들에 대한 긍정적인 견해는 교사들의 해당학교 ‘교장에대한 긍정적인 견해에 영향력을 나타내지 않았다. 여섯째, 학교장의 ‘임용방식’, ‘교육경영목표’는 교사들의 ‘교내 수업개선 노력’ 평균과 유의미한 관계를 보이지 않았다. 마지막으로, 교사들의 교내외 교외 수업개선 노력에 있어 교장 간 차이를 설명해 줄 수 있는 교장 수준에서의 영향요인들이 탐색되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The main aim of the present study was to analyze the influence of attributes of principalsand teachers on teachers’ instructional improvement effort inside the school using hierarchicallinear modeling. The responses of 192 principals and 6,377 teachers were used from the dataof ‘the Actual Status and the Quality of School Education in Korea (2013). The results were asfollows. First, teachers’ instructional improvement effort inside the school was explaineddifferently in principal factors. Second, teacher-level attributes, ‘homeroom teacher ornon-homeroom teacher, major, and teaching years had an positive effect on teachers’instructional improvement effort inside the school while sex and school type did not affect‘instructional improvement effort within the school’. Third, the positive perception of theprincipal of the teachers reduced teachers’ instructional improvement effort outside the school. Fourth, the perception of the principal of the teachers was however significantly related toteachers’ instructional improvement effort within the school. It means that the more positiveperception of the teachers a principal has, the more the teacher made an effort to improvetheir instructional skills in school. Fifth, the perception of the principal of the teachers wasnot related to the perception of the teacher of the principal. Finally, principal employmentmethod, principal’s education management purpose, and perception of the principal of teachersexplained the difference of teachers’ instructional improvement effort inside the school overprincipals but the portion which was not explained by the three principal-level variablesabove remains.
