학교폭력 예방 및 대처를 위해 필요한 교사역량에 관한 질적연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 교사가 학교폭력 관련 경험을 토대로 학교폭력의 예방과 대처를 위해 중요하게 여긴 교사역량이 무엇인지 심층적으로 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 사안 관련 유경험 교사 10명을 면접하고, CQR을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 학교폭력 예방, 대처, 추후관리를 위해 학생, 학부모, 교사자신, 교내·외 교사 및 전문가 대상의 총 10개 영역이 도출되었다. 예방을 위해서는 학생에 대해 파악하는 것, 학생과 긍정적 관계를 형성하는 것, 학부모와 소통하며 신뢰관계를 형성하는 것, 학급 대상으로 예방교육의 지속적 실시, 일상적 예방활동과 폭력예측 학생 관리를 통한 비폭력 풍토조성 등이 중요하게 나타났다. 대처를 위해서는 학생 간 관계회복을 돕는 것, 학부모와 자녀성장에 초점을 둔 상담능력, 공식적 사안처리 및 적극적 태도, 교내‧외 교사‧전문가와 협력‧연계 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 추후관리를 위해서는 교사의 자기이해 및 관리, 전문성 개발 등을 중요하게 보았다. 이 연구는 현직교사의 역량강화 및 예비교사의 교육내용에 대한 기초자료를 제공하며, 대상별로 교사에게 필요한 역량을 제시한 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out what the most important teacher competency is for preventing and coping with school violence through teachers’ experiences of school violence. Ten school teachers who experienced violence in their working schools interviewed and the interview data were analyzed by consensual qualitative research method(CQR). The results of the study were derived as 10 domains for preventing, coping and afterward managing of school violence. To prevent school violence, it was turned out to be important, understanding students’, ‘building positive relationship with student’, ‘communication with parents for a trust relationship’, ‘providing ongoing prevention education of school violence programs for each class’, ‘managing usual activities for violence prevention’, ‘creating a nonviolent school climate through managing problem students’. To cope with school violence, it was turned out to be important, ‘helping student-student relations’, ‘counseling skills with parents focused on students’ growth’, ‘proactive attitudes and official case handling’, and ‘a network between teachers and specialists’. For afterward managing, teachers need ‘self-knowledge’ and ‘professionality development’. The result of this study suggests a base research of inservice teacher education for developing competence and educating pre-teacher programs, and have significant implications in terms of presenting the competence needed for teachers by subject.
