국문 초록

5·4 신문화 운동 시기 전통적 아동에 대한 관념을 변화시키는 데는 안데르센의 동화가 큰 작용을 하였다. 안데르센의 동화가 본격적으로 소개된 신문화 운동 시기 가장 중요한 아동문학 활동의 하나가 안데르센 동화번역이었고, 이는 중국 최초 창작동화 탄생에도 지대한 영향을 주었다. 안데르센의 동화는 독창적인 문체와 특유의 입말체, 낭독 화법, 익살스러운 구어체, 세부 묘사 등이 특징이다. 안데르센의 동화는 형식이나 내용면에서 ‘아동성’을 지녔고 이것이 곧 ‘아동본위’의 동의어가 되면서 당시 아동문제에 관심을 기울이던 시대상황과 잘 맞았다. 5·4 신문화 운동 시기 신문화를 주도한 지식인들은 안데르센 동화를 통해 아동을 주체적인 하나의 인격으로 인식하도록 하는 창구로 삼았다. 이 때문에 안데르센 번역 열기가 당시 중국 문단을 휩쓸었다. 이처럼 안데르센 동화는 중국에서 현대적이고 새로운 아동인식을 전파하는 중요한 역할을 담당하였기에 신문화시기의 아동관과 아동문화를 살피는데 있어서 안데르센 동화 연구가 갖는 의미는 아주 크다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

During the May 4th New Culture Movement, Andersen s fairy tale played a major role in changing the traditional notion of children. One of the most important children s literature activities during the new cultural movement, when Andersen s fairy tale was introduced in earnest, was the Andersen fairy tale translation, which had a profound impact on the birth of China s first creative fairy tale. Andersen s fairy tales are characterized by their original style, unique mouth style, reading style, humorous colloquial style, and detailed descriptions. Andersen s fairy tale had childhood in terms of form and content, and this soon became a synonym for childhood standard, which fits well with the situation of the times when he paid attention to child issues at the time. The intellectuals who led the newspaper during the May 4th New Culture Movement used Andersen s fairy tales as a window to recognize children as one independent personality. For this reason, Andersen s enthusiasm for translation swept through Chinese literary circles at the time. As such, Andersen fairy tales played an important role in spreading modern and new child perceptions in China, so it can be seen that Andersen s fairy tale research has a great significance in examining children s views and children s culture during the new culture period.
