국문 초록

かつて<大東亜戦争>とも称されたアジア·太平洋戦争期において、日本では多くの作家たちが<軍属>として徴用され、軍部のメディア戦略に動員された。この作家たちの書き残した文章類の場合、戦争への<抵抗>か<協力>かにその評価基準が据えられてきたように思われるのだが、こうした二項対立的なとらえ方の限界もまた指摘されて久しい。本稿は、従来の文学研究の領域において捨象されてきたきらいのある徴用作家らの文章から、単なる<国策文学>ではない逆説的な存在意義を見出すことを目的とする。試みに、本稿では『大東亜戦争陸軍報道班員手記』に収録された数編の手記を取りあげ、戦争への二項対立なアプローチ方では決して読みとれぬ、異文化体験の意義を提出してみたい。當初、別々の雑誌媒体に発表されたことのあるこれらの手記は、のち、『マレー電撃戦』の一冊にまとめられることによって、期せずして戦時下の力学のなかで変質を強いられていく<日本>と<民族>のありかたを浮かび上がらせる結果にもなったと考えられるからである。以上を踏まえ、<大東亜>の描出に資すべく集められた<南方町用作家>たちの文章が、かえってその戦争の無謀さと現前不可能性を露呈していく奇妙な事態を明らかにしてみたいと思う。

영문 초록

During the Asia Pacific War, also known as the “Greater East Asia War,” many Japanese writers were conscripted as military personnel and mobilized for the media strategy of the military. In the case of these writers, the standard of evaluation for the writings they have left behind has been set on whether they were “cooperating with” or “opposing to” the war, but the limitedness of such a dichotomous approach has also long been pointed out. This paper aims to provide an interpretation of the writings of the Nanpo Choyo Sakka (Writers dispatched to the south during the 2nd World War), who have tended to be neglected in the field of literary research thus far, as not merely works of kokusaku bungaku (national policy literature), but as writings of a paradoxical significance. Due to the compilation of these writings, which were originally published in different journals, in a single volume, Mare Dengekisen (The Malay Blitzkrieg), the process of the change imposed upon the actuality of and by wartime dynamics has unexpectedly been brought to light.
