시각장애인의 재난대응 욕구와 스트레스 및 불안 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 재난약자로서 시각장애인의 재난과 관련한 정신건강에 관심이 필요하다는 인식 하에, 재난대응욕구와 스트레스 및 불안 간 관계를 살펴보고 어떠한 재난대응 욕구가 충족이 되면 시각장애인의 재난상황에 대한 스트레스와 불안이 감소될 수 있는지 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2020년 5월 ~ 6월까지 서울의 시각장애인복지관 5곳의 모집문건을 통해 참여의사를 밝히고 서면동의를 한 시각장애인 203명을 대상으로 하였으며, 결과 분석을 위해 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 재난대응 욕구들은 시각장애인의 스트레스와 부적상관이 나타났으며, 재난대응 욕구 중 의사소통욕구만이 스트레스에 영향을 미쳐 의사소통 욕구가 이미 충분히 충족되어 있으면 시각장애인의 스트레스가 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 재난대응 욕구들은 시각장애인의 불안과도 부적상관이 나타났으며, 재난대응 욕구 중 이동 욕구만 불안에 영향을 미쳐, 이동 욕구가 이미 충분히 충족되었다면 시각장애인의 불안은 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과에 따라 시각장애인의 정신건강을 고려한 재난대비 훈련 프로그램 및 매뉴얼 마련의 필요성과 정책적 접근이 마련되어야 함을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Under the recognition that the visually impaired as a disaster vulnerable person needs attention to mental health related to disaster, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the special need for disaster response and stress/anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the stress and anxiety of the visually impaired in a disaster situation could be lowered when certain disaster response special needs are satisfied. This study targeted 203 blind people from May to June 2020. Research subjects who wished to participate in the study expressed their intention to participate through the recruitment documents of five blind welfare centers and gave written consent before participating in the study. The results are as follows. First, among the special needs for disaster response, only the communication need affects stress. When communication needs are already sufficiently satisfied, the stress of the visually impaired is lowered. Second, special needs for disaster response were negatively correlated with the anxiety of the visually impaired. Among the special needs for disaster response, only the move need affects anxiety, so if the move need is already sufficiently satisfied, the anxiety of the visually impaired is reduced. According to the results of this study, it was discussed the necessity of preparing a disaster preparedness training program and manual considering the mental health of the visually impaired and that a policy approach should be prepared.
