국문 초록

이 연구는 범죄피해자 지원에 관한 국내의 논의를 확장하여, 범죄피해자에 대한 지원 유형과 특성이 폭력범죄 피해자의 심리적 회복에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 실증적으로 검증해보고자 한다. 보다 구체적으로, 이 논문에서는 범죄피해자 지원의 유형을 경제적 지원과 사건정보 제공, 상담서비스 제공으로 구분하였고, 범죄피해자 지원 특성으로는 지원에의 접근성과지원 신속성을 살펴보았다. 분석을 위하여 한국형사·법무정책연구원에서 수행한 ｢범죄피해자 생활실태 및 사회적 지원현황 조사, 2014: 범죄피해자｣자료를 활용하였으며, 해당 자료에서 폭력범죄 피해자 274명을 연구 대상으로 하여 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 범죄피해자지원 유형과 특성 중 경제적 지원이 폭력범죄 피해자의 심리적 회복에 정적(+) 영향을 미치는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 함의와 제한점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

Crime victims experience various psychological problems and these can have long-term effects by destroying individuals daily lives and deteriorating their quality of life. Crime victim support aims to help victims and create an environment where they can recover their daily lives by providing various services necessary for them. This study aims to empirically examine which types and characteristics of crime victim support affect the psychological recovery of violent crime victims. More specifically, financial assistance, providing information about the case or trial, counseling service, the accessibility of victim support, and the promptness of victim support were included in the analysis. Using the Korea Institute of Criminology’s Survey on the Living Conditions and Social Support of Crime Victims, 2014 data, multiple regression analysis was conducted on 274 violent crime victims. According to the results, financial assistance had a statistically significant positive effect on the psychological recovery of violent crime victims. Implications and limitations of the study were discussed.
