제주지역 공공 공연장의 운영 활동이 지역 문화예술 활성화에 미치는 영향 연구

국문 초록

제주지역은 문화예술 시장이 협소하여 공공 공연장의 운영 활동을 통하여 지역의 발전을 높이는 데 많은 제한점이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주지역 공공 공연장의 운영 활동 요소인 프로그램 개발, 마케팅, 재원 조성, 운용시설, 네트워크 구축이 지역 문화예술 활성화 요인들인 문화예술 향유 기회 확대, 지역 문화시설 활성화, 지역 문화 공동체 강화, 지역 경제 발전에 영향을 미치는 방식을 분석하기 위하여 연구모형과 가설을 설정하였다. 연구 결과 운영 활동 요소들은 지역 문화 예술 활성화에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 재원 조성 활동은 문화예술 향유 기회 확대, 지역 문화시설 활성화, 지역 문화 공동체 강화에 대하여 유의한 영향을 주고 있지 않았으며, 네트워크 구축 활동은 지역 경제 발전에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 제주지역의 공공 공연장은 시대의 변화에 대응하고 공연장 운영의 활성화와 지역 문화예술 발전을 위해서 체계적이고 다양한 재원 조성 방법연구와 재원 조성 활동을 위한 장기적인 계획 마련이 필요하다. 그리고 지역의 문화예술 네트워크를 활용하여 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 활용하고 더 나아가 다른 지역과 연계된 네트 워크 구축체제를 마련하여야 한다. 이와 더불어, 지역 주민들이 공연장에 참여할 수 있는 계기를 마련하게 되는 참여 동기, 공연장 운영에 대한 성과요인, 그리고 관광객을 위한 차별화된 프로그램 개발과 관련된 변수들을 도출하는 새로운 연구모형으로 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Jeju has a small field for culture and arts, which has many limitations in enhancing the development of Jeju through the operation activities of public art Center. This study has established a research model and a hypothesis to analyze how a public art center’s operational elements such as program development, marketing, financing, operating facilities, and network building affect activating factors of local culture and art - more opportunities to enjoy culture and art, invigoration of local cultural facilities, strengthening local cultural communities, and local economic development. The study has found that the elements of operational activities had a significant impact on local culture and arts, but financing activities did not have a significant effect on expansion of opportunities for cultural arts, invigoration of local cultural facilities, and strengthening local cultural communities. Therefore, public art centers in Jeju need to have long-term plans for systematic and various financing methods and activities, and develop and utilize programs by using local culture and art networks and furthermore construct a network system with other regions so that they are able to deal with changing times and invigorate public art centers and local culture and art. In addition, research should be conducted with a new research model that deduces variables associated with motivation for local residents to participate in public art centers, factors that influence the outcome of public art center operation, and differentiated program development for tourists.
