건청성인과 청각장애성인의 독화능력 비교

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 청각장애인의 한국어 독화 능력에 대한 정보를 얻기 위하여 건청성인과 청각장애성인의 독화능력을 비교하였다. 각 집단은 16명씩 총 32명의 대상자를 선정하여 모음검사와 자음검사로 나누어 실시하였다. 모음검사는 모음을 /h/-V-/g/의 형태로 제시하였고 자음은 초성 C-/V/의 형태, 종성 /V/+C의 형태로 제시하였다. 이 연구 결과에 따르면 건청인과 청각장애인의 독화능력은 모음에서는 차이를 보이지 않았지만 자음에서는 차이를 보였다. 이것은 구형변별력이 좋은 모음에서는 건청성인도 청각장애성인과 유사한 독화 능력을 보일 수 있었지만 구형변별력이 낮은 자음에서는 독화에 익숙한 청각장애성인이 더 높은 정확도를 보인 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 또한 음소에 대한 독화정확도와 독화소에 대한 독화정확도가 차이가 나는 결과를 통해 독화만으로 음소를 변별하는 것은 한계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 건청성인과 청각장애 성인에서 동일하였다. 모음 환경에 따라 자음의 독화정확도에 차이가 있는 결과는 추후 독화검사나 독화훈련용 자료의 개발 시 모음 환경을 고려하여야 함을 의미한다.

영문 초록

In this study, the reading ability of adults with normal hearing based and adults with hearing impairments was compared to obtain information on the reading ability of the hearing impaired in Korean. Each group was divided into a vowel test and a consonant test by selecting 32 subjects, 16 each. The vowel test was presented in the form of /h/-V-/g/, and the consonant was presented in the form of initial C-/V/ and final /V/+C. According to the results of this study, the reading ability of adults with normal hearing based and adults with hearing impairments did not show any difference in vowels, but in consonants. This is because the vowels with good globular discrimination could show similar reading ability to those with hearing impairment in normal hearing-based adults with hearing impairment, but in consonants with low globular discrimination, deaf adults who are accustomed to poisoning may interpret higher. In addition, from the results that the accuracy of reading the phoneme and the accuracy of reading the poisoned pixels were different, it could be seen that there is a limit to discriminating a phoneme with only reading. These results were the same for adults with normal hearing based and adults with hearing impairments. The result of differences in the accuracy of reading consonants depending on the vowel environment means that the vowel environment should be considered when developing reading testing or reading training materials.
