국문 초록

풍납토성의 성벽과 내부 공간의 활용에 대해서는 불확실한 부분이많다. 남겨진 자료가 매우 적어 접근의 어려움이 많았는데, 그러한 문제를 해결하고자 고지형분석방법을 진행하였다. 고지형분석은 최근 그 활용도가 증가하는 VR기기를 사용한 분석방법을 실시하였고, 이를 기본으로 하면서 여러 자료를 종합하여 상기 문제에 대해 접근하였다. 분석결과, 풍납토성 내·외부의 고지형적 특징을 다시금 살펴볼수 있었으며, 성문과 문지 등의 위치와 방향 도 추정할 수 있었다. 내부 지형은 크게 두 곳의 미고지와 이를 구분하는 곡저부, 3단의지형 단차, 미저지 등을 확인하였다. 외부 지형은 해자와 함께 제방또는 호안시설로 추정되는 흔적을 살필 수 있었다. 이러한 분석내용을 바탕으로 유실된 성벽을 복원할 수 있었으며, 내부 공간 구획의여러 모습 등도 같이 파악하였다. 성벽은 잔존한 성벽구간과 성문 및 문지 등의 위치로 보아 선 대칭적 구조로 축조되었고 내부의 공간구획은 성벽의 축조와는 달리 점 대칭적 구조로 이루어졌을 것으로 파악되었다. 도로를 기준으로동서남북의 배치와 계획을 진행하였을 것이며, 지형의 고저차로 보아 북동쪽과 남서쪽의 미고지에는 궁전과 종묘구의 존재 가능성이 높으며, 그 외의 지역은 일반거소 및 관아지로 이용되었을 것이다. 그리고 남성벽 근처에는 궁원지와 관련한 흔적이 뚜렷이 관찰되는데이와 관련된 시설물의 존재도 같이 파악된다.

영문 초록

The issues on the wall structure of Pungnap earthen fortress and the use of intra-space remains unresolved. It is partly because of lack of available historical text and relevant data. A geomorphological approach is employed to resolve these problems. In particular, a geomorphological analysis pairing with VR technology is applied. A comprehensive interpretation based on the results of this analysis with all accumulating data together, is suggested. The results of research reveal the peculiar characteristics of the inner and outer part of Pungnap earthen wall. In addition, locations and orientation of gates and area surrounding gates are assumed. Inside the fortress, two high points in this landscape and small valleys separating these high points, three tiered surface contours, and low-lying land areas are identified. Out of the fortress, there are traces of ambiguous facility, considered to be as a levee or embankment. Based on these results, the lost wall structure as well as the use of intra-space is attempted to be reconstructed. Considering the locations of gates and remains of the wall, the fortification facility appears to have been constructed in a symmetrical structure. In contrast, the various activity areas in the inner district are connected each other in the pattern of sporadical network. Inner zones are distinguished by the road, forming a grid plan with a clear concept of orientation(east-west and north-south axis). On the high points in north-eastern and south-western areas buildings such as palace and ancestral shrine might have been located, but the rest of the area could be used as the communal activities or administrative halls. Near the southern wall, the traces related to the royal garden are clearly observed and the possibility of the presence of relevant facilities could be high.
