장애학생 부모상담에 대한 교사와 부모의 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애학생 부모상담에 대한 교사와 부모의 인식과 요구를 조사하여, 향후 실제적이고 성공적인 장애학생 부모상담을 구현하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이에 따라 부산시내 4개의 특수학교 교사 84명, 장애학생부모 86명 등 총170명을 대상으로 설문조사한 후 그 결과를 분석하였다. 첫째, 장애학생 부모상담의 운영에 대한 교사와 부모의 인식 및 요구를 분석한 결과, 장애학생 부모상담에 대해 교사와 부모 모두 부모상담이 매우 필요하다고 생각하지만 그에 비해 만족도는 조금 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 실제 상담에 있어서, 교사는 필요시 항상, 부모는 연2회 정도를 상담하고 있고, 또한 상담하기를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 실제 상담시간과 적정 상담시간은 교사와 부모 모두 1회 상담 시 1시간 이내가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 부모상담 담당자에 대해서는 실제로는 담임교사와 가장 많은 상담을 하지만, 담임교사, 전문상담교사, 외부상담교사, 기타 진로직업 담당교사와 교과담임교사, 치료사 순으로 상담하기를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애학생 부모상담의 내용에 대한 교사와 부모의 요구를 분석한 결과, 장애학생 부모상담 내용에 대해 교사와 부모 모두 자녀가 가진 장애의 신체적심리적 특성과 앞으로의 성장 발달에 관련된 내용, 자녀의 장애로 인한 문제 발생의 사전 예방에 관한 내용, 가정에서의 학습과 생활지도 방법에 관한 내용, 자녀의 졸업 후 취업과 진로에 관한 내용, 장애인 복지지원 관련 정보에 관한 내용, 장애학생 부모상담 지원 프로그램을 가장 우선적으로 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 장애학생 부모상담에 대한 교사와 부모의 인식과 요구를 분석한 결과를 기초로 교사와 부모가 협력적 관계를 유지하며, 각각의 요구에 따른 개선방안을 연구하고 실천하여, 성공적인 부모상담을 위해 함께 노력해야 할 것임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for realization of practical and successful parent counseling with research of perception and needs of teachers and parents about parent counseling of children with disabilities. The study analyzed the result after doing a survey about 84 teachers and 86 parents of children with disabilities, a total 170 people, from 4 special schools in Busan. First of all, as a result of the analysis of perception and needs of teachers and parents of children with disabilities about managing parent counseling of children with disabilities, both teachers and the parents thought that counselling is very necessary, but the satisfaction level of the counselling was a little low. In the real parents counseling of children with disabilities, teachers counseled the parents when they need, and the parents were counseled and also wanted to be counseled about twice a year. Most teachers and the parents thought that actual counselling time is within 1 hour and proper counselling time is also within 1 hour. About a counselor of parents counselling, mostly exceptional children s teachers are in charge of the counselor. Moreover, the survey showed that the parents prefer in order of teacher, professional counselor, outside counselling specialist, and other vocational education teacher, departmental teacher, and therapist. Second, according to the analysis of the survey, both teachers and the parents required the content of the parents counseling which consists of physical/ psychological trait of disability and growth and development of the children, prevention of the accident caused by disability, the way of study and life guidance at home, children s career and employment after graduation, the information about disability welfare, and support program of the parents counseling of children with disabilities. For these reasons, on the basis of the study, teachers need to maintain cooperative relation with parents of children with disabilities. Thus, teachers and the parents try to make an effort together for successful parents counseling by studying and practice their requirement.
