특수교육에서 교과교육이란 어떤 의미를 지니는가?

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 특수교육에서 교과교육이란 어떤 의미를 지니고 있는지 현장 교사들의 인식과 이해 정도, 원하는 방향성 등을 분석하여 도출해 내는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 총 15명의 초등 및 중등 특수교사를 대상으로 3팀의 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하고 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 인터뷰 분석 결과, 2개의 대분류와 대분류별 4개씩 주제가 도출되었고, 대분류 기준으로 각각 15개, 10개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 주요한 연구결과로는 수렴하지 않는 특수교육 교과교육의 방향성을 국가 차원에서 제시해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특수교육 교과교육이 지금 현재 일반교육의 교과라는 틀에 갇히는 것이 보편성이 아니므로 지금의 교과로부터 새로운 교과 개념을 수립하고, 다양한 교과교육의 방향이 존재할 수 있도록 체제를 마련하는 것이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이를 실현하기 위한 방안으로서 교과교육이라는 개념의 재정립, 교육의 보편성을 반영하면서 특수교육의 특수성을 반영한다는 개념의 재정립 등 학문적 방향성 수립 뿐만 아니라, 실제적인 교육방법 차원의 방안들이 도출되었다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 특수교육을 받는 학생들에게 적합하고 필요한 교과교육이 정립되고 실현되기 위한 학문적, 실제적 방향성을 제안하였고, 이를 이루어가기 위해 필요한 고려점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of subject education in special education and the desired direction by analyzing the degree of perception and understanding of special teachers. Method: To this end, three focus group interviews were conducted with a total of 15 elementary and secondary special teachers, and the results were analyzed. Result: As a result of the study, two major categories and four themes were derived for each major category, and 15 and 10 meaning units were derived respectively based on the major category. The direction of special education curriculum did not converge at the national level. It is not universal (or prevalent) that special education subject education is currently confined to the frame of general education; therefore. it is necessary to establish a new subject concept from the current subject and to establish a system, so that various subject education directions can exist. In addition, as a way to realize this, not only the establishment of academic direction, such as re-establishment of the concept of subject education and the re-establishment of the concept of reflecting the specificity of special education while reflecting the universality of education were suggested,but practical educational methodologies were derived as well. Conclusion: Academic and practical directions for establishing and realizing appropriate and necessary subject education for students receiving special education were proposed, and considerations necessary to achieve this were discussed.
