국문 초록

최근 작은도서관에 대한 지역사회의 기대 및 활동이 증대되고 있으며 전국적으로 매년 증가하고 있는 추세였지만, 작은도서관 설립 및 운영이 2013년 이후 양적으로 급증한 것에 반해 증가세가 둔화되어 양적확산보다 질적 확산을 고민해야 한다. 그리고 다양한 형태의 작은도서관은 지역이 소통하는 하나의 매개체가 되므로 그 역할과 활성화 방안에 대해 연구했다. 본 연구는 지역의 중소도시 중 진주시에 소재한 작은도서관을 대상으로 연구를 진행했으며 진주시 소재 31개(미응답 제외) 작은도서관을 대상으로 ‘문화기본권’, ‘문화정체성’, ‘문화발전’, ‘지역활성화 기여’에 대한 대분류와 그에 따른 20개의 세부지표로 구성했다. 연구결과 4개의 대분류와 20개의 세부지표를 분석한 결과 문화기본권에 대한 영향정도가 가장 높게 인식되고 있고, 지역활성화 기여, 문화발전, 문화정체성 순으로 영향 인식정도가 달랐다. 최종적으로 3가지 활성화 방안을 제시했다. 첫째, 작은도서관 문화기본권의 안정적 확보를 해야 한다. 둘째, 다양한 프로그램과 계층의 참여가 필요하다. 셋째, 지역 내 문화정체성을 확보하여 커뮤니티의 중심역할을 해야 한다.

영문 초록

Recently, community expectations and activities for Small Library have been increasing and increasing every year across the country. However, while the establishment and operation of Small Library have increased quantitatively since 2013, growth has slowed, which requires consideration of qualitative diffusion rather than quantitative diffusion. In addition, the various forms of Small Library have studied cultural influences and activation methods, as they serve as a medium for communication between regions. This study was conducted on Small Library located in Jinju City among small and medium-sized cities in the region, and consisted of a large classification of basic cultural rights, cultural identity, cultural development, and contribution to regional revitalization in Jinju City. As a result of analyzing the four large categories and 20 detailed indicators, the impact on basic cultural rights is the highest, and the impact perception was different in the order of contribution to regional revitalization, cultural development, and cultural identity. Finally, it proposed three ways to revitalize the company. First, it is necessary to secure the basic cultural rights of small libraries. Second, various programs and classes of participation are required. Third, it should play a central role in the community by securing cultural identity in the region.
