국문 초록

이 연구는 김기택 시의 특징인 관찰과 물질성, 틈의 존재론을 구체적으로 살피고 있다. 첫째, 김기택 시의 중요한 시적 어법이 관찰이며, 그 관찰에 포착되는 것은 대상 세계의 물질성이다. 물질성은 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것 모두를 포함하는 경계의 피부이다. 김기택 시의 미학적 원리가 여기에 숨겨져 있다. 둘째, 현대사회가 강제하는 규격화되고 자동화된 생활이 김기택 시의 특유의 관찰을 통해 드러나고, 그 삶의 비참함이 사물화된 물질성으로 형상화되고 있다. 셋째, 김기택의 시는 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것의 교차를 틈의 가능성으로 보여준다. 그리하여 습관화되어 굳어 가고 있는 우리의 몸과 정신 그리고 마음을 깨우려고 한다. 김기택의 시는 육체의 물질화에 따른 습관적 타성이 초래한 문제를 폭로하면서 동시에 그 회복을 꿈꾸고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 그 작업은 작고 연약한 것들에 대한 탐구로 이어진다. 김기택의 시에서 관찰이 고정된 관념으로서의 물질성의 세계에 균열을 가했다면, 틈은 보이는 것으로의 물질성 너머의 보이지 않는 물질성을 보여준다. 김기택의 시가 보여주는 물질성과 틈의 존재론은 한국시의 지평을 넓혔다는 점에서 주목할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study specifically examines the characteristics of Kim Gi-taek’s poems, such as observation, materiality, and the ontology of aperture. First, the important poetic method of Kim Gi-taek’s poems is observation, and what is captured in that observation is the materiality of the object. Materiality is the superficial skin of the boundary that includes both the visible and the invisible. The aesthetic principle of Kim Gi-taek’s poems is hidden here. Second, the standardized and automated life forced by the modern society is revealed through Kim Gi-taek’s unique observation, and the misery of that life is being embodied as a materialized object. Third, Kim Gi-taek’s poems show the intersection of the visible and the invisible as a possibility of aperture. Thus, Kim Gi-taek’s poems try to awaken our bodies, soul and minds that are becoming habitual and hardening. Kim Gi-taek’s poems expose the problem caused by habitual inertia caused by materialization of the body and dream of recovering the problem at the same time. His work is leading to the exploration of small and weak things. If observation in Kim Gi-taek’s poems have cracked the world of materiality as a fixed idea, the aperture shows the invisible materiality beyond that of the visible. It is worth that Kim Gi-taek’s poems show the materiality and the ontology of aperture that broadened the horizons of Korean poetry.
