국문 초록

21세기 인류가 당면한 코로나19로 겪고 있는 팬더믹 현상은 사회, 정치, 경제는 물론 종교에도 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 대면 문화에 뿌리를 둔 종교 생활이 갑작스런 비대면 사회의 도래로 인해 위기를 맞고 있으며, 가톨릭 교회가 대면 문화에 뿌리를 둔 성사 생활의 위기를 극복해보고자 하지만, 종교에 대한 무관심과 감염병 위험에 노출된 신자들의 신앙 감각은 변하고 있다. 이에 따라 교회는 의무적 주일 미사 참례보다는 일상에서 신앙을 실천하는 방향으로 신자들의 신심을 이끌어주어야 하고, 기존에 교회의 외적 확장과 대면적 친교 중심의 사목은 비대면 사회의 현실에 맞게 변화되어야 한다. 팬더믹 시대를 맞는 가톨릭 교회는 전통적인 성사론과 교회론에 대한 반성적 성찰을 필요로 한다. 가톨릭 교회의 성사론이 지난 인격적 대면과 소통의 가치는 간직하면서도 인격적 대면의 의미가 무엇인지 재정립하고 소통의 방식에 있어서도 새로운 패러다임의 변화가 필요하다. 이를 위해 디지털 문화가 지닌 맹점을 극복하면서도 신자들을 온라인에서 만날 수 있는 사목이 필요하며, 가톨릭 교회가 지닌 보편성의 힘을 지역 사회와 인류가 겪고 있는 고통에 대한 동참과 전염병 예방과 확산을 막기 위한 연대를 통하여 이웃사랑을 실천할 필요가 있다. 특히 사목자들은 팬더믹 시대에 신자들과 슬기로운 사목 생활을 위하여 노력해야 하며 전통적 권위의 사제직이 아니라 신자들과 소통하며 자본주의 문화에 익숙해진 종교의 외적 성장과 권위주의로부터 탈피하여 진정한 일상에서의 수행 정신을 재발견하고, 신자들의 신앙 감각을 보편적 삶의 영역으로 확대해주는 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The Pandemic phenomenon that the 21st century humankinds are facing due to COVID-19 gives huge influences not only to society, politics, and economy but also to religion. Religious life which was based on contact culture is encountering the crisis because of the sudden ‘untact’ society. The Catholic Church tries to overcome the crisis of sacramental life which is based on face-to-face(contact) culture, but the ‘sensus fidei’ of the faithful who are indifferent to religion and exposed to the danger of this infectious disease are changing. Hence, The Church should lead the faithful to everyday life piety rather than attending the mandatory Sunday mass, and the pastoral care should be changed to realistic ‘untact’ society rather than be centered on previous external expansion and face to face friendshiporiented. The Catholic Church facing this Pandemic era is required self-reflection on traditional theologies of the Sacraments and the Church. While keeping the previous values of personal contact and communication, the Church should reestablish the meaning of personal contact and be required the change to a new paradigm in the way of communication. To do this, to overcome the blind point of digital culture, and the pastoral care of meeting the faithful through ‘on line’ is needed. Also it is needed to fulfill the neighbor loving through the solidarity of the Catholic Church’s possessing universal power and through participating to this pain while preventing this infectious disease and its spreading. Specially, the pastoral ministers should make efforts for the sensible pastoral cares with the faithful in this Pandemic era. It is not that of traditional, authoritative priesthood, but to communicate with the faithful to escape from authoritarianism and the external expansion which was familiar to democratic culture, to rediscover the real cultivating mind in everyday life, and to expand ‘sensus fidei’ in the realm of universal life.
