복고 2.0 시대 진입의 의미 분석

국문 초록

최근 문화콘텐츠 분야의 특징은 첨단 기술 발달로 인한 콘텐츠 향유기회의 확산이라 할 수 있다. 흥미로운 점은 이러한 시대변화 속에 과거에 대한 문화적 탐색, 즉 복고(復古)가 확산되고 있다는 점이다. 한국의 경우 약 20여 년 전부터 시작된 복고 현상이 지속되었고, 2020년 이후 다양한 복고문화 콘텐츠를 통해 재유행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 경향을 보이는 복고의 최근 흐름을 복고 2.0 시대로 정의하고자 한다. 복고 2.0 시대는 1.0 시대와 유사성과 차별성을 갖고 확산되고 있다. 각각의 특성은 콘텐츠에 대한 문화적 분석은 물론, 해당 시기에 대한 사회적 분석을 가능하게 한다. 더불어 문화콘텐츠 발신자와 수신자의 특성을 파악하는데도 유용하다. 감성적 경험으로 축적된 개인과 집단의 문화 기억에 의한 복고 확산은 결코 중지될 수 없는 문화적 흐름임을 복고를 통해 확인하게 된다. 이러한 과정을 통해 일시적 문화현상으로서가 아닌 지속적인 사회문화 담론으로서 주목받고 있는 복고현상에 대한 체계적이고 다층적인 분석이 필요하다는 점을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The recent characteristic of the cultural contents field is the spread of content enjoyment opportunities due to the development of advanced technology. What s interesting is that cultural exploration of the past, or retro, is spreading amid this changing times. In the case of Korea, the retro phenomenon that started about 20 years ago has continued, and since 2020, it is recurrent through various retro cultural contents. In this paper, we want to define the recent trend of retro with a new trend as the retro 2.0 era. The retro 2.0 era is spreading with similarities and differentiation to the 1.0 era. Each characteristic enables cultural analysis of content as well as social analysis of the time period. In addition, it is useful for identifying the characteristics of the sender and receiver of cultural contents. It is confirmed through retro that the spread of retro by cultural memories of individuals and groups accumulated through emotional experiences is a cultural flow that can never be stopped. Through this process, it is necessary to systematically and multilayered analysis of retro phenomena that are drawing attention as continuous social and cultural discourse, not as temporary cultural phenomena.
