국문 초록

본 연구는 리빙랩(Living Lab)을 적용하여 근육장애인의 자립생활 욕구와 문제점을 파악하고 자립생활을 위한 주거생활 가이드북을 개발하여 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 근육장애인 당사자 2인, 서비스제공자 2인, 전문가 2인, 연구진 4인으로 리빙랩을 구성하여 근육장애인의 자립생활 욕구를 파악하고 이를 토대로 프로토타입 매뉴얼을 개발하였다. 연구결과, 확인된 욕구는 자립생활에 대한 준비와 정보 부족의 어려움, 주거환경 개선과 보조기구 정보 습득, 활동 보조서비스 증가 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 욕구를 바탕으로 프로토타입의 주거생활 가이드북을 개발하여 연구 참여 기관인 한국근육장애인협회와 C장애인자립생활센터에 제공하였다. 개발된 가이드북에 대해 근육장애인 당사자를 대상으로 평가를 진행한 결과, 자립생활에 대한 근육장애인의 이해와 실행에 긍정적으로 활용 될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 근육장애인의 자립생활을 지원하기 위한 정책 및 실천방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The objectives of this study is to use the Living Lab method in identifying the needs and problems of those living with muscular disabilities when living independently and to develop and provide a guidebook for independent residential living for these individuals. To achieve the objectives outlined above, a Living Lab was designed with individuals living with muscular disabilities, service providers, and experts in order to determine the needs of those with muscular disabilities when living independently. These findings were then used to develop a prototype manual. Some of the confirmed needs included difficulties due to the lack of information on and preparation for living independently, improving living environments and acquiring information on Assistive devices, increasing assisted services for activities. Based on these needs, a prototype residential living manual was developed and was provided to the Korea Muscular Disabilities Association and C Center for Independent Living. Analysis methods included qualitative assessments through interview on satisfaction levels with the prototype manual. As a result of providing the manual developed jointly by those living with muscular disorders and relevant stakeholders, to was confirmed that it could be used to increase understanding of and promote independent living for those living with muscular disorders. Based on these research results, policy measures in social welfare were proposed to support independent living for these living with muscular disabilities.
