한국 성인의 생성이름대기 수행력 규준 마련을 위한 예비 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노화로 인한 인지 저하의 발견과 치매 환자의 평가를 위하여 청장년층부터 노인의 생성 이름대기 규준을 마련하고 연령, 성별 그리고 교육수준에 따른 수행력의 차이를 살펴보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내의 40대에서 80대 성인 145명을 대상으로 생성이름대기 과제를 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과, 생성이름대기 전체 평균 점수는 의미 유창성 수행 점수가 음소 유창성 수행 점수보다 다소 높은 양상을 보였으나 연령대별로 다른 양상을 보였다. 첫째, 연령에 따른 차이는 40대와 50대 성인이 70대, 80대 각각 비교하여 유의하게 높은 수행을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 차이는 70대에서 ‘동물’, ‘탈 것’, /ㅅ/, /ㅂ/에서 남성이 여성보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 교육수준에 따른 차이는 80대를 제외한 모든 연령대에서 의미 유창성 보다는 음소 유창성 과제에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 생성이름대기 과제 수행력에서 성별 보다는 연령과 교육 수준이 더 유의한 영향을 미치며, 의미 유창성 과제보다는 음소 유창성 과제가 집단 간의 더 유의한 차이를 보여주었다. 넷째, 생성이름대기 6개의 과제 간의 상관성은 매우 유의미하였으며, 음소유창성 과제가 보다 상관성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과가 임상적으로 보다 의미있게 활용되기 위해서는 대상자 특성과 수행력 평가 방법 차원에서 지속 연구되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The performance of verbal fluency is closely related to working memory and is known to be sensitive to cognitive decline the elderly. The purpose of this preliminary study is to establish the criteria for the generation of the elderly from the youth to the elderly and to examine the differences in performance according to age, gender and education level. This will be used to detect cognitive decline caused by aging and to differentiate between dementia patients from normal aging. Methods: 145 adults in their 40s and 80s participated. The verbal fluency task includes semantic fluency (e.g., animal naming) and phonemic fluency in specific letter (e.g., /k/ ). The total number of words generated in 1 minute for the name of semantic category(‘animals, vehiecles, fruits’), and the letters (/ㄱ/, /ㅅ/, and /ㅂ/). Results:　First, a result of this study, the overall average score of the name generation was lowered in order of animal , fruit , vehicle , /g/, /s/, and /b/. Age-specific differences showed that adults in their 40s and 50s performed significantly higher compared to those in their 70s and 80s, respectively. Second, gender differences were significantly higher for men in their 70s than for women in animal , vehicle , /s/, and /b/. Third, differences in education level showed significant differences in phonemic fluency tasks rather than semantic fluency in all age groups except those in their 80s. Age and educational level have a more significant effect on ability than gender in the performance of verbal fluency, and phoneme fluency tasks have shown more significant differences between groups than semantic fluency tasks. Finally, there was a significant correlation between types of verbal fluency tasks. Discussion: It is meaningful that some of the findings provided data that could be the preliminary norm for verbal fluency ability in people in their 40s and 80s. However, the number of younger people and senior citizens in a broader age group should be increased to study.
