리빙랩 (living lab)을 활용한 환경 에너지 정치 교육

국문 초록

리빙랩(living lab)은 사용자 주도의 실험과 혁신을 통해 문제를 해결하는 방식이다. 본 연구는 리빙랩을 정치외교학과 환경-에너지 정치 수업에 활용하여, 학생(연구자)-지역주민-관-기업이 미세먼지, 폐기물, 에너지 문제 등에 대한 문제를 정의하고 해결 방안을 탐색하는 과정을 제시한다. 지역 기반의 문제 해결 중심 수업에서 리빙랩은 학생-지역주민-관-기업의 협력을 통한 문제 해결 참여와 실험을 포함한다. 리빙랩을 통해 시제품 (프로토타입: proto-type) 혹은 정책안 제시가 가능하며 정책 수용성을 높일 수 있다. 그러나 리빙랩을 교육방법론으로 활용할 경우, 각기 다른 환경에서의 미시적 실험 결과와 방안 제시를 어떻게 일반화할 것인가, 사용자들의 문제 인식과 이해를 어떻게 조율할 것인가, 프로토타입을 어떻게 실현 (혹은 상용화) 할 것인가 라는 과제도 남긴다.

영문 초록

Living Lab is a problem-solving method through user-centered experiment and innovation. This research explains the application of living lab methodology to Environment and Energy Politics, a course from the Department of Political Science and International Relations. It suggests the process of students (researcher)-local community-public-private partnership defining related problems such as, air pollution, waste and energy, and pursuing the solutions. Living lab includes problem-solving participation and experiment by the student-local community-public-private partnership during the problem-solving process of community-based circumstance. It is possible to develop prototypes or policy methods and to enhance policy adoption by living lab. However, living lab as pedagogics still has limitations to be solved; generalizing the experiment results and solutions derived from microscopic setting, managing different recognition and understanding of problems from users, and realizing or commercializing of living lab prototypes.
