국문 초록

이 연구에서는 정치참여에 대한 이론적 논의와 모형에 토대해서 촛불집회의 참여강도를 분석하였다. 즉 2016-2017년 촛불집회를 사례로 참가자들의 표본을 적실하게 구축하여 그들의 사회경제적 특성을 규명하고, 나아가 그들의 정치적 정향과 태도 및 자원 동원에 초점을 맞추어 참여 메커니즘을 분석하였다. 이 분석을 통해 비관습적 정치참여의 특징을 고찰할 수 있었다. 특히 과거의 집회참가 경험과 정치적 효능감은 촛불집회 참여강도에 매우 강하게 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 소셜미디어아 같은 개인 차원의 자원동원효과도 흥미롭게 관측되었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the strength of political participation based on the political theory and model in the case of candle rallies. This study constructed a sample of participants from the fifth candlelight vigils in 2016-2017 and identified their socioeconomic characteristics. And this study examined the characteristics of their political orientation, attitude and mobilization of resources. In short, this study examines the characteristics of unconventional political participation. In particular, past experiences of participation and political efficacy strongly influenced the intensity of participation in candlelight vigils. In this study, the effect of mobilization of resources such as social media was observed.
