국문 초록

본 논문은 문학관을 도서관, 문서관, 박물관의 기능을 수행하는 문화시설로 바라보는 논의 사이에서 그 기능을 복합문화공간, 라키비움에서 벗어나 주변 관광시설과의 연계를 통해 문학관이 지역의 관광시설로 자리매김하는 과정을 검토한 것이다. 가마쿠라 막부시대의 배경이었던 가나가와현 가마쿠라시에는 27,500개가 넘는 풍부한 문화유산을 가지고 있는 역사의 도시로 일본 내에서도 인기 있는 관광지 중에 하나다. 특히 가마쿠라를 방문하는 관광객들은 엔카쿠지(円覚寺), 쓰루가오카 하치만구(鶴岡八幡宮) 등 역사적 의미를 가진 사찰과 신사에 방문목적을 두는 경우가 많다. 가마쿠라 문학관에서 개최하는 ‘문학 스탬프랠리(文学スタンプラリー)’는 가마쿠라를 방문하는 관광객이 주로 찾는 역사적 관광시설 중에서 일부를 선별하여 각각의 시설에 관련된 가마쿠라의 문학, 작가를 소개한다. 이 과정에서 가마쿠라 문학관이 지역의 관광시설로 기능하게 되는 모습을 살펴볼 수 있다. 문학 스탬프랠리 사례를 통해 문학관이 주변 관광시설과의 협력 속에서 지역의 관광시설로 자리매김할 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This paper examines the function of the Museum of Literature as a cultural facility that performs the functions of libraries, archives, and museums, in this way constituting a local tourist attraction in combination with other attractions. Dating back to the Shogunate period, Kamakura City in Kanagawa Prefecture is a historic city with over 27,500 heritage sites, and is one of the popular tourist destinations in Japan. Tourists who go to Kamakura mainly visit temples and shrines that have historical significance, such as Engakuji temple and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. A program called ‘The Literary Stamp Rally’ is run by the Kamakura Museum of Literature. Through it, the most popular historical tourist attractions are promoted, and the literature and writers of Kamakura City are introduced to the public. In this light, it is plausible to see aspects of The Kamakura Museum of Literature as facets of a domestic tourist attraction in their own right. Kamakura s ‘Literary Stamp Rally’ shows that Museums of Literature can function as local tourist attractions, in partnership with other local tourist facilities and attractions.
