서·논술형 평가의 평가학적 의미 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 서·논술형 평가가 학교 현장에서 올바르게 활용되도록 평가학적 의미를 탐색하였다. 구체적으로 첫째, 분류학적 측면에서 서·논술형 문항의 의미를 파악하고 서술형 문항과 논술형 문항의 차이를 비교하여 문항 유형으로서 서술형 문항과 논술형 문항을 개념화 하였다. 둘째, 서·논술형 평가를 주요한 평가방법으로 개념화함으로써 문항 단위가 아닌 평가 유형의 하나로 서·논술형 평가의 개념을 탐색하였다. 셋째, 서·논술형 평가가 일련의 평가활동을 조율하는 개념으로 단위학교에서 타당하게 활용되기 위해서 서·논술형 평가 지침을 개발하였고 그러한 지침이 실효성 있게 적용되도록 그 적용 가능성을 탐색하였다. 논의 과정을 통해 교육 현장에서 쓰이는 서·논술형 평가, 수행평가, 과정중심평가 등 관련 용어들의 개념화 및 역할 정립을 통해 바른 적용을 유도할 수 있도록 추후 연구의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored the evaluative meaning to ensure that restricted and extended response essay assessment are correctly utilized in the educational fields. Specifically, the first was to grasp the meaning of restricted and extended response essay items in terms of item taxonomy and compare the differences between restricted and extended response essay items to conceptualize these type as a type of items. Second, by conceptualizing restricted and extended response essay assessment as a major assessment method, the concept of restricted and extended response essay assessment was explored as one of the types of assessment, not in item units. Third, to ensure that restricted and extended response essay assessments are applied properly in schools as a concept of coordinating a series of assessment activities, this study developed guidelines for such essay assessment and explored the applicability of these guidelines to make them effective. Through the discussion process, it suggested the need for further research so that the relevant terms, such as restricted and extended response essay assessment, performance assessment, and process-fortified assessment, can be used in the field of education, and the proper application can be induced by clarifying their relationship and role.
