퀴어 주체로서 낙태한 여성의 우울증과 애도하는 교회

국문 초록

본 논문은 한국 사회의 낙태 담론을 분석하여 ‘돌봄의 윤리’가 필요한 여성의 자리를 발견하고, 낙태한 여성들에 대한 사목적인 차원에서 ‘신학적 윤리’의 전망을 점검한다. 많은 경우 낙태를 여성의 ‘자기결정권’ 혹은 ‘권리’의 문제로 접근하지만, 일각의 여성주의 담론은 낙태한 여성에 대한 심리학적이고 현상학적인 연구를 시도한다. 즉, 상처입고 공적으로 애도하지 못해서 모호한 주체로 살아가는 이들에 대한 ‘내적 변화에 대한 연구’를 시도한 것이다. 본 논문은 상반된 두 가지 여성주의 담론을 비교하고 낙태와 관련된 교회의 입장을 정리함으로써, 낙태 담론의 계보학적 변화의 순간을 확인한다. 교회는 부부들에게 생명에 대한 봉사를 완수하라고 권유하고, 한국 사회의 낙태 담론은 낙태를 체험한 여성에 대한 현상학적 돌봄의 주제를 다루기 시작했다. 이러한 분석을 위해 소포클레스의 비극에 등장하는 안티고네를 퀴어 주체로 해석한 버틀러의 저서 『안티고네의 주장』을 이용한다. 버틀러가 제시한 ‘젠더 정체성 이론’(패러디, 수행성, 우울증)을 급진적 여성주의자들의 담론 분석을 위한 해체 도구로 사용한다. 사랑하는 대상을 잃고도 공적으로 애도하지 못하는 안티고네의 내적 상태를 패러디하여, 공적으로 애도하지 못하는 낙태한 여성들의 상황을 분석한다.

영문 초록

This article is to find the locus of women in need of ‘an ethic of care’ by analyzing the abortion discourse in the Korean society, and to show theological ethics’ perspective in the pastoral context. In many cases, abortion is approached as a matter of woman’s right or self-determination, but some feminist discourse tries to study the abortion from a psychological or phenomenological approach. On the other hand, other feminists try to conduct study on the internal change of women undergoing abortion, who live as an ambiguous subject because they are wounded and unable to mourn publicly. By comparing two conflicting discourses of feminism, and confirming the position of the Church teaching on the issues of abortion, this study explores the moments of genealogical shift. The Church encourages married couple to complete the service of life, and abortion discourses in Korean society begin to deal with a phenomenological approach to the care of women who experienced abortion. To analyze it, this study uses Antigone’s Claims, which is Judith Butler’s writings interpreting Antigone as a queer subject. Antigone appears in the Sophocles’ tragedy. By using Butler’s gender identity theory(parody, performitivity, depression) as a deconstructing lens for the discourse analysis of radical feminism. By making a parody the internal condition of Antigone who lost her beloved object, but could not mourn publicly, this study analyses the condition of women who experienced abortion.
