연구부정행위에서 표절과 부당한 저자표시에 관한 쟁점 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 인문 사회과학 분야 연구부정행위의 대부분을 차지하는 표절과 부당한 저자표시가 중첩적으로 논의될 수 있는 구체적인 상황에 대한 쟁점을 제기하고 분석 결과를 제시하는 것이다. 선행 논의들은 연구부정행위의 개념, 판단 근거와 방식, 적용 범위, 개선 방안 등을 포괄하고 있는데, 본 연구는 구체적 쟁점 사안에 대한 각론적 논의를 심화시키고자 했다. 연구윤리 인식과 실천력을 향상시키기 위해서는 연구윤리 이행에 따른 사적 이익과 사회적 이익을 증대시키고 위반행위에 의한 사적 이익의 감소와 사적 비용의 증대를 유도해야 한다. 본 연구는 실제 사례에 기반한 상황 설정으로 쟁점 사안을 분석했다. 선행 저작물의 공동 저자를 배제하고 단독으로 후속 저작물을 작성하면서 선행 저작물의 주요 내용을 그대로 활용한 경우에는 부당한 저자표시보다는 표절 행위로 판정하는 것이 타당하다. 결론적으로 표절과 부당한 저자표시가 중첩될 소지가 있을 경우에는 표절을 우선적으로 고려해야 한다고 판단한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to raise and to present the analysis results of the issues of specific circumstances in which plagiarism, which accounts for most of the research misconduct in the humanities and social sciences, and unethical authorship can overlap. The previous discussions encompass the concept of research misconduct, the basis and method of judgment, the scope of application, and improvement measures. But this study attempted to intensify the specific discussion on specific issues. In order to improve the awareness and practices of research ethics, it is necessary to increase the private and social benefits of the implementation of research ethics, and to induce a decrease in private profits and an increase in private costs due to violations. This study analyzed the issue by setting the situation based on real cases. In the case of using the main contents of the preceding work as it is while excluding the co-authors of the preceding work and writing the subsequent work alone, it is reasonable to judge it as an act of plagiarism rather than an unethical authorship. In conclusion, it is judged that plagiarism should be considered first if there is a possibility of overlapping between plagiarism and unethical authorship.
