서울근교 둘레길 훼손 실태와 허브를 이용한 아로마 길 조성

국문 초록

서울 시내의 둘레길 생태 훼손 실태와 허브를 이용한 아로마 길 조성을 제안하고자 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 서울의 중랑구 봉화산 둘레길(4.2km), 강동구 아차산 둘레길(기원정사-긴 고랑 구간, 1.0km), 북한산 소나무 숲길 둘레길(제1번 코스 손병희 묘소-이용문 장군묘역 구간, 1.2km) 등 3곳을 선정하여 길의 훼손 실태와 방문자의 안전시설에 대하여 조사하였다. 훼손 실태는 암석 노출, 종침식, 뿌리노출 수목, 암석 풍화, 배수 불량, 노면 세굴 등 6가지 항목을 조사하였다. 암석 노출은 아차산 둘레길이 많았고, 종침식과 배수 불량지는 3곳에 차이가 없었다. 식물 뿌리 노출은 북한산 둘레길이 가장 많았고 암석 풍화나 노면 세굴은 봉화산이 많은 편이었다. 둘레길의 수목류뿌리 노출 현황은 봉화산이 약 30%, 아차산과 북한산 둘레길은 약 40%가 노출되었다. 1km당 노출 식물의 수는 북한산이 봉화산과 아차산보다 2배가 많았다. 뿌리 노출 식물의 약 70%가 소나무(리기다 포함)였고 두 번째로 참나무(도토리나무류)가 약 20%를 차지했다. 둘레길 방문자의 안전을 위한 시설로 계단, 코이어 매트 피복, 경사면 흙 막기 방책, 안전을 위한 길 가장자리 목책, 위험지에 설치된 데크, 계곡의 다리 설치 등을 조사하였다. 봉화산은 안전시설 중에 코이어 매트길, 흙막이 방책, 다리 설치가 가장 잘 되어 있었고, 계단과 데크는 아차산이, 안전용 방책은 북한산이 설치가 많았다. 아로마 길 조성이 가능한 허브 선발은 내음도, 내한성, 포복성, 한국인 선호도를 고려하여 15종류를 선정하였으며 이들을 대상으로 평탄지와 경사지에 적용 가능 허브를 중부와 남부로 나누어서 제시해 보았다. 아로마 길 조성에 필요한 허브 식물의 시중 가격을 수목을 이용한 생태복원 비용과 비교한 바 허브 길 조성비가 자생 수목 및 초본을 이용한 복원 비용의 약 1/3이면 충분히 가능하였다.

영문 초록

The conditions of the ecological deterioration to the Dulle-gil, or walking trails in downtown Seoul, and proposal for the creation o f an Aroma-g il, or Aroma trail, was investigated. Three locations were selected and surveyed, including the Bonghwasan Dulle-gil(4.2km), Gangdong-gu Achasan Dulle-gil(From Kiwonjung-sa to Gingorang, 1.0km) and Bukhansan Pine Forest Trail Dulle-gil 1 (1.2km). The damage status of the trails were assessed based on six different types of degradation; whether any rocks were exposed inside the Dulle-gil, if any longitudinal erosion present, if tree roots were exposed, any rock weathering, poor drainage, and any trail scouring were evident. The surveys found there was significant rock exposure in the circumference of Mt. Acha, but there was no significant difference in the longitudinal erosion and poor drainage between all three locations. The most exposed plant roots were found on the circumference of Bukhansan Dulle-gil, and heavily weathered rocks and scours were present on Bonghwasan Dulle-gil. When comparing the exposure status of tree roots among the Dulle-gil, about 30% of the trees in Bonghwasan and 40% of the trees in Achasan and Bukhansan had their roots exposed. Overall, Pine trees (including Rigida) accounted for the highest percentage of the root-exposed plants present at the survey sites with 70%, followed by oak trees which accounted for about 20%. In addition, the safety facilities of the Dulle-gil, such as the stairs, coir mat coverings, soil-blocking walls on the slopes, trail edge barriers, decks, and bridge installations were investigated. The safety facilities present on Dulle-gil Trail of Bonghwasan were found to be the best. For the selection of herbs that can create aroma roads, 15 herbs were selected based on their shade tolerance, cold resistance, creeping properties, and Korean preference. When comparing the market prices of the ecological restoration plants and the herbal plants required for the creation of an aroma road, it was possible to create but only when the price of the herbs were about a third of the cost of the ecological restoration using trees.
